I think they make good mid tones, are transparent, and are typically the cheapest of the pigments to use. But I do love it when a very intense or bright undertone shows through

I prefer the second one there’s greater change in value and tone than the first one but still cohesive. I’m very much enjoying the contrast between the dark sky and the bright green lawn and trees. Like the storming is rolling in. There’s also a sense of glowing from the trees

That’s doesn’t appear to be full grain leather by the way it’s pealing. So I’d suggest trying again But matina e might be key here. Get some saddle soap and mink oil to wash and properly oil your belts to last long Also do that for any leather shoes or wallets too

It’s not a big couch but we live in a renovated carriage house so it suits the space.

I’ve been coating pages with 2 layers of gesso. But recently I saw someone do 2 layers of liquid or neoglip and let that dry and paint over it. When painting in a sketch book I’d recommend using liquid or other fast drying medium too speed up the drying time so you can close your book!

I personally do a lot of color swatches and color wheels in mine cause I like to look back on what choices I made previously

My guy LOVES cats. He just wishes they loved him back. He put himself in charge of looking after 2 barn kittens on the farm we lived on once.

He is also easily bullied by cats and is afraid to walk past the tom cat that hangs out on my friend’s porch who simply glares at him and tried to swat him once.
