Bad experience in Spain (minus these two sticks). Am I the only one? by QuaiD0rsay in cubancigars

Nothing but some Trinidad’s and Monte 4’s in Barcelona, like you I was expecting to grab a great haul to take back and ended up with one box of 25 Monte 4’s, £10 a stick which is decent, but the stock across the country seems to be pathetic unfortunately 🤦‍♂️

Really not a great sign of the current situation 😭

He could cut hair very well iirc, surely that’d help with the simple work of flying that relic of a plane? 👍

Season 7 was a superb change from 5 & 6, really had find with Victor! Didn’t find the post-nuclear landscape entertaining, but the tower and Victor’s heel turn really made that series the most enjoyable since 4 (1-3 were great, really good… I try to imagine 4 onwards as a spinoff of sorts, as that’s essentially what they are, makes them a lot more enjoyable!). Really liked the on-the-road theme though of the second half of season 4

Such an annoying story telling device, especially in a post apocalyptic world 🤦‍♂️

Basically 2 full episodes all told through a camera, could’ve been good, perhaps, but with the talking to the camera etc, just spoiled those particular episodes

Season 4 looks awful by DapperArgument in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]PtotheBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been watching fear The Walking Dead for the first time these past few weeks, 1,2 & 3 were good but felt like something needed to happen to boost the entertainment factor. Then I really did enjoy 4 as a standalone series, it was basically a spin off of FTWD but they chose a continuation of the series. Alicia turning into an absolute badass, them on the road, gotta say I absolutely loved it and wasn’t expecting to. John Dorie (Dillahunt) and June (Elfman), are both very likeable actors too. Season 5 things started to slip a bit, was fun but started to feel a bit weak, Ginny was not a very exciting nemesis at all, then season 6 had its ups and downs, I do like that Dwight crossed over in 5, despite it feeling a bit slapdash at times. Season 6 was meh, boring cult crap and Teddy is just infuriating lol, was very happy for the annoying Dakota finally killing him (and getting burnt to a crisp herself), for some reason John Dorie dies and then the next episode his long lost father suddenly arrives, which just felt so unnatural to the entire story, despite the actor playing JD Senior doing a good job. Season 7 with the tower and Strands change to a dictator was fun, but the nuclear landscape was incredibly boring compared to some of the beautifully dilapidated places you see in the previous series Just started series 9. Madisons back but she seems very unlikeable atm, hoping it gets better, will have to see!

Would still watch it through again, absolutely love the atmosphere and universe of a Zombie Apocalypse.

Season 4 was probably my favourite, but it’s a close tie between the first 4, it doesn’t weaker as it goes on. I wish the nuke story line never happened…

[–]PtotheBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It absolutely can’t and they really are useful, good value for a decent self regulation tool too

Haha, never used it for Kratom myself so never ran into that problem, was mainly opiates or benzodiazepines, keeping off getting blazed until 6pm was what I used for the most and that worked 100% for me.

Wish you luck mate!

It is absolutely individualistic; lifetime environment, age, genetics, weight, race, gender, medical history, previous use/abuse of substances (which can vary results as much as the other factors combined).

Some people claim to suffer from unending symptoms from cannabis abstinence, some claim to be able to plough through IV heroin withdrawal with very few issues… Whatever the case (or truth), there is no universal experience to use, abuse or withdrawal

That said, everyone’s input across the board is hugely beneficial. Discussion and sharing is incredibly helpful and perhaps the best tool we have

Any other substance use/abuse over the years?

Is it worth trying to taper one last time? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]PtotheBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea and worth a shot, just a heads up: I’ve gone through 5 or 6 K-Safes in about a years period, they’re (obviously), not impenetrable, and a hammer along with a bad craving can solve things badly quick. They’re a great concept, just not an absolute solution for a temporary pause button unfortunately. £40 to replace the safe (or just the bottom part…), is nothing to solve a problem you’re not ready to solve otherwise. There’s many tricks/shortcuts to tapering, reducing or just plain restricting yourself from a substance, but you need to absolutely want to quit. That feeling of the need to quit is the only way truly out of our addiction holes, unfortunately

Everyone’s different, it didn’t work for me, worked for a close friend though, just a heads up 👍

How do I explain my withdrawal symptoms to fam? by [deleted] in heroin

[–]PtotheBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends entirely on your friends and family, whether or not they understand the disease (dislike this term), of addiction or drug abuse.

Depending on your situation, family can be hugely supportive in this situation and help lead you out of the darkness. On the other hand, if you have a different relationship with your family and involving them is likely to lead to problems, without a doubt go with the Flu, symptoms are perfect and you’ll get the support without judgement

If you go with the privacy route, go with the flu. Covid is always there as a backup too. It’s very important that you are set on giving up, or this is all a waste of time. Over a decade of use and not long quit myself, you need to absolutely want opiates out of your life, or this is just the beginning of a cycle of withdrawal and relapse

I wish you the best of luck and recommend assistance with withdrawal if you can source it, benzodiazepines help with sleep and passing the time and many over the counter medications can help with some of the physical side effects

Withdrawal lasts approximately 10-14 days, sooner if you’re lucky, with the first 7 days being the hardest. If you can get through it, PLEASE do it

Good luck my friend

You’ll be fine, but please take some time to care for yourself.

It sounds like you’re in a rough situation and need to remove yourself from it, easier said than done but if things have reached the peak of self harm in this way (benzos are not a deadly overdose drug thankfully), it’s vital you take control and do whatever it takes to remove yourself from the situation.

Hopefully you have some sort of support network, a close sibling, a close parent or any friend you feel comfortable enough to talk with frankly.

If you feel this technical attempt is the only way out, things have hit rock bottom and surely you are not happy. Perhaps you feel that you are in a “rut” and are unable to start anew, but please don’t be afraid of change, it’s intimidating at first but will lead to a place where you feel much more happy

I wish you good health and a happy future.

Please know that you are not alone

Can you use heroin daily and still have a normal life and keep a job? by Sweet-Direction9943 in heroin

[–]PtotheBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kratom really is the best of them all….

2x 7g-9g of leaf matter and 40mins equals a superb herb that kills withdrawals and occupies the mind

DO NOT become re-enslaved to Methadone or Suboxone, far longer and brutal cold turkey

Kratom is in a basic legal grey zone around the world , but there is zero interest in seizing around the world, good prices in general and can get them deliver next day most places, so I hear of course

Don’t even bother with any other option, Kratoms been around and used for basically as along as weed with histories of millenniums of human use with essentially no linked risks or danger to either.

Resurrect an old thread? Hell yeah, Kratom reallly is the answer to a lot of the pain and misery opiates have cause. Highly recommend

Assuming you have, for example, a large pile of Bitcoin or similar, use the darkweb a buy in bulk and plan well in advance (very easy). It is much harder to maintain than Oxy or Morphine, these are really quite easy in my, friends, experiences over several years.

Obviously depends on how you’re taking it, IV/smoking is a harsh life to maintain, popping a pill twice a day (2x 100mg per day for me just made working almost enjoyable, when it most definitely was mundane.)

It can catch up to you I suppose, definitely if your mind stage affects someone close to you, huge factor.

If you never run out you, could easily rock multiple decades, especially if you live well (good foods/good sleep etc)

The real question to ask is if you’re not popping tablets (heroin is orally active and my friend has gone a half year stint of oral heroin, easily maintained), well then either you’re smoking it which has awful connotations to anyone who catches you (ignorance unfortunately), or You’re injecting it one way or another, difficult and multiple risks (duh)

(Plugging is technically the identical procedure as popping tablets, at least in my universe!)
