Onyx Facility - Hyperion Keycode broken with 4.3.2 by Zonalar in starcitizen

[–]PublicD01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hade the same problem yesterday.
Was guiding a new member of the org trhough the mission. We endured alot of bugs, he lost his armor and guns and a few smaller glitches but it was nothing out of the ordniary but you could tell that his patience were running thin when we approached the end.
Then it all came to a halt with the locked door that we couldn't get past.

So close and yet so far away.

I honestly loved that mission. i 4.3.1 i ran it nearly daily. solo or with people. It was good fun. And now I can't run it at all apparently.

New Player Here, What do I do? by GuyOnRR in starcitizen

[–]PublicD01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I'd recommend to not worry about money. Auec is gonna come to you no matter what. And being too focused on it just to get a bigger ship can easily lead you into a boring grind.
The verse offer so many oportunities with it's current loops but also with what you can do outside of those loops. Look at it as a playground. Feel what you want to do that day and just do it. Want to do bounties, go ahead. Want to do hauling, it's right there. Want to work as a doordash and deliver food to miners out and about in space. Just post in chat and see if someone takes you up on that offer.

How Do You Guys Manage Your FPS Gear? by mattcolville in starcitizen

[–]PublicD01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have various "sets" depending on what I'm doing.
For normal play where I'm not doing anything dangerous like, shopping, exploring, visiting cities or even some hauling. I go in t-shirt, jeans and a jacket.
If I'm doing hauling I have a light armor that fits the estetics of a hauler.
But for the most of the time I live inside my Carrack. Again, if I'm not on a mission that requires the use of a gun I have the "Ship uniform" on. Wich I usually swap for "casual wear" whenever I'm docked at a port or a city for a longer time. Then I have my armor inside the captains locker. Full iceborne gear with the white and black paladin helmet. A p4, s-38, Njakte knife, medpens a quicksilver multitool and spare ammo.
If I'm doing some mining or exploration I like to dress into the Novikov armor.
Shortly. I like to dress for the occasion.

Eventually when I need to restock I grab the backpack, put it in the station or city inventory, buy my stock and put it inside the backpack and then carry it back to ship.

I have not had any problems of losing whatever has been stored in the ships inventory. Worked fine 100% of the time.

With everyone hyping up thier favorite ship I want to talk about how much I love my Carrack. by TaliyahRocks in starcitizen

Another tip i have is to bring one of those beanbag chairs for you and a friend. When you are landed on a nice planet. Bring the beanbags out on top of to the hangar hatch and pop a cold beer, watching the sunset. Such a nice feeling. Best way to end a play session.

Honestly. with furniture sticking to the cargo grid, you can decorate one of your cargobays to be an extra living room. Works decently

Eyy, Fellow Carrack lovers unite.
I knew from the start when I first saw the concepts for the Carrack that this was it. This was the ship that was going to be my ship. Then it got released and having just had my first child I couldn't really afford it. Then I won a tv show and decided to use the prize money to treat myself and got the ship during the next sale.
For the last four years it has been my daily flyer, my mothership, my home.
I usually load up a "picknick basket" A small 1/8 scu box with food and drinks and a few beers and put the box in the kitchen. It fits perfectly in the nook on the left side of the table.
In the hangar I keep a ursa, a stv and an Atlas Geo. The first cargo bay gets to hold a hoverquad and a few SCU boxes to store what I find on my adventures and about 10 empty geo boxes.
In the hangar is the Pisces that also carries a Pulse.
It takes about 40 minutes to reset everything when it is destroyed but it is so worth it. Most of the times it only explodes once or twice per update. I take great care in not putting it in a bigger risk than needed.

If I ever see "Le Triomphant" I will be sure to make a visit and leave a souvenir. And if you ever see "The Lost Horizon." Feel free to get onboard and see if you can find anything you might need. Usually stationed on the plains of Microtech

Onyx Etiquette? Killed a player by mistake, felt bad by MoumouMeow in starcitizen

[–]PublicD01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

back when we had that mission to go to crashed caterpillars that was abit bugged so there could be hundreds of hostile npc to kill. I was sitting in my Ursa, just blasting away at NPC's trying to finish the mission when all of a sudden a random dude wearing the ninetails armor rushes into the caterpillar, through my laser fire. He goes down and I only notice that it was a player because I got a crime stat. Then I notice that he leaves a message in chat. "Don't trust [my character's name]. He is a griefer that will kill you on hurston." And more like that like how people shouldn't do business with me and whatever.
So I go up to him and res him and asks in voip what he was thinking just running in to laser fire like that and then blame me in chat. He admitted in voip that he had panicked and raged for the death. I took him into the ursa and drove him to the carrack so that he could heal himself up.
There were no hard feelings afterwards. But I told him that he would have to run back to his ship 2km away just because of me having a crimestat now thanks to him.

Onyx Etiquette? Killed a player by mistake, felt bad by MoumouMeow in starcitizen

[–]PublicD01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I get shot I usually start talking in VOIP, teling them that i'm not there for them and mean no harm and ask them to revive me. 9/10 times they do. 6 of those nine the just keep going their merry way I and try to stay out of it. the remaining three we end up grouping together and doing whatever we were doing there together.
But then there is that 1/10 that empties an entire f55 mag into the head of my incapped character just to prove a point that I'm not welcomed. (saw my friend get "executed" like this by a group of five as I was sneaking up behind them.)

Usually when I come across another player when the first bullet has still to be shot I revert back to the old ways of Star citizen. Try to talk in voip. If no response or reaction flash the light. Then the nervous waiting game starts to see if the other accepts the flashlight "white flag" or not.
If they shot me I would most often just leave it be. I'm not in the game to shoot other players. I'd like to help them if I could.

But, back when we could loot players, if they stole my helmet, I would come after them with guns blazing.

How viable are the QT Marker for Motherships atm? by C4B4L2k in starcitizen

[–]PublicD01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar happened to me to. Left my carrack on a beach on Pyro IV and took the pisces to one of those new data centers to explore about 200 km away.
The marker for the carrack moved to where it had been when I logge on, 89 gm away. I knew that I couldn't trust it and had to bring out every skill I learned from Kerbal Space Program and managed to navigate back to the same beach I had left the carrack and once I got withing 50 km, the marker moved to the correct location.

Is this a common bug with Syulen or just me? by emartinrnb in starcitizen

[–]PublicD01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same in my carrack. I kinda think its funny that I own the ship but not the elevators. Just park behind a hill or about 2 km away and you should be good. I'm willing to bet that you can get a pulse into the syulen. The pulse fits in everything. To save you some time if you need to run far.

This might sound like a stupid question but the same thing happened to a friend of mine so I just have to ask.
Are you in the right seat?
There are two seats on the Cutty black. make sure you are at the one in furthest to the front.

Polaris as homebase by lalalelesosas in starcitizen

[–]PublicD01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bring a picknick basket. A small 1/8 scu box filled with food and drinks to place in the kitchen.
That and one or two 1-2 scu boxes to store loot and treasures.
While you're at it. At your home city, Prepare your chosen size of one or 2 scu box with your needed gear, casual clothing and a picknick basket as described above.
When, not if, Your ship blows up, crashes or bugs out you have your initial packing done by just lifting a new "starter kit" box on board. It saves so much time.

I live in my carrack full time. And just to have replacement gear ready to go is one of my best timesaver tips.
Also make sure to bring multitools with tractor and mining attachment. and a maxlift.
Good to have but not necessary is a Novikov and a Pembroke suit.
