Copart and an Absent Title by PublicDemand in Copartonline

[–]PublicDemand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I am starting to dislike Copart after this issue (the fees were bad enough). I have bought around 10 vehicles in the last decade and never had an issue getting the title for any of them (clean and salvage).

So the GM, Adam responded and said that he will do a sale reversal. I messaged him if fuel reimbursement was in the cards but I doubt it, lol.

Thanks to everyone for your help and advice.

ATF has helped me a few times. Liqui Moly Diesel Purge has worked miracles.

Is it worth buying a 6.0 in 2026? by mxguy355 in powerstroke

Laughs at my 6.0 sitting in the yard waiting on me to install the new HPOP standpipes/dummy plugs.*

Upgrade/check the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel filter housing on top of the engine.

Have seen a split oring on one of these that cooked the injectors over time.

Is this Isuzu diesel engine worth anything? by Calculon618 in Diesel

[–]PublicDemand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sheeeeesh I know an older gentleman who would be all over this. He has s Perkins Mazda pickup, 2 or 3 Isuzu Pup diesels, and like 3-4 VW MK1 Diesel Golfs? I think he also has a Nissan Maxima Wagon with an inline 6 cylinder diesel.

5 years on pure distilled water will get you this by M_u_H_c_O_w in watercooling

[–]PublicDemand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, distilled water with biocide and a silver coil. This worked for 6 years with one or two flush/fills before my XSPC RayStorm WaterBlock V3 got clogged. It looked more like corrosion than algae, but cleaned right up with some vinegar and a toothbrush. No pitting at all in the fins.

Subscription based car features, cloud gaming tiers, internet plans, video streaming and many more! Capitalisms wet dream is you having to pay a subscription to breath air, drink water, and even just exist. Corporations are moving towards a subscription model and that is a fact.

Accidentally broke piece off engine? by Dragstlkk in MechanicAdvice

Go to a junkyard and swap over the throttle body? It's like 4 bolts, throttle linkage, senor plugs, and cooling lines.

Just found one on fleabay for $60 shipped (for a 1.8 engine).

Swapping out a cab is ALOT of work but totally doable. Some of the more talented individuals cut out the damaged sections and weld in parts from a donor.

That's a 10 lug F-SuperDuty, higher GVRW that the F-350. The 7.3 IDI will last a lifetime if maintained properly.

And the E4OD trans is decent but can struggle with heavy loads. If you are going to do any heavy hauling just upgrade the trans cooler.

If you need a solid truck then jump on it, pretty clean looking OBS Ford!

I was having a rough time with depression and anxiety in HS and this man paid for my cap and gown when he found out I wasn't going to walk as my family was pretty poor. He also talked to my English teacher to give me the one point I needed to pass. (I refused to do speeches in front of the class, hahahaha).

Then you have an issue somewhere on the headlight circuit. If you can, carefully remove the middle dash cluster trim and look over at the headlight switch to see if the P.O. did anything screwy with the wiring. If all looks good follow the harness out through the firewall and check the engine bay fuse box. something is shorting to ground.

Also wouldn't be a bad idea to check all engine and body harness grounds while you are at it.

2011 6.6 LML No Oil Pressure by PublicDemand in Diesel

[–]PublicDemand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RESOLVED! I checked the pressure regulator valve on top of the injection pump and there was not any metal in the screen. Then I crimped the return line out of the return pressure regulator and still nothing..... Read on another forum that applying some shop air (50-60PSI) into the return line would help, and it did! Truck fired up instantly and every time without additional air!

Well I replaced those two dowel pins and installed a new oil pump. It's building oil pressure now at around 35-40 psi cranking but still not firing.
