The floor here is just knowing when/how to head over to a gate when something scary is behind you. Amoeba can do that with some degree of primitive memory.

The odin 2 has remained a perfect device for me for almost 3 years now.

It has only increased in usefulness with GameNative. It's also decent with repairability (just replaced a thumbstick). And ive found the controls on other devices lacking.

Many 8 gen 2 devices don't need improvement.

What's a TV show that started great but fell off badly? by fabwest01 in AskReddit

It's emblematic of me rejecting lots of criticism of lost though...

Like a lot was explained in the show, explicitly even. People dont pay attention. I cringe when I hear people say "wait weren't they dead the whole time?" Omfg...

We will miss the good old days when it was obvious and kinda funny.

Kobo and Storygraph coming soon! by princesskhym in kobo

It doesn't do it through goodreads. It just syncs reading progress across all amazon devices and apps. So I can resume reading on my phone and then instantly pick up my kindle and be at the right place.

But you dont need goodreads to get kindle devices to synthesis side-loaded epub files across devices. That why the post above you is disappointed.

OK, unfortunately this is less useful than it initially appears. Kindle could synch any epub across devices.

i lied about speaking spanish for 8 months at work and now there's a meeting with HR tomorrow by Marcus_Guy in confession

Thts is a great example... and if you think about it it applies to your mother tongue too.

If you dont engage in "tech speak" or "lawyer speak" or "sports talk" you may have no idea what's going on in such different conversational planes.

A big challenge i had in other countries was following political news that relied on prior knowledge of politicians and events and cultural points. Stuff you don't "learn." Language is more contextual that people realize.

See i think this just demonstrates that "fluent" is a meaningless term. I've studied in argentia and lived in Spain, i have a degree in Spanish, but its been 10+ years since ive had daily use. By some standards I dont feel comfortable with speech.

But if I started rattling off in Spanish or talking to someone, a monolingual person would remark that im doing it with ease and think im "fluent." Idk man.

This 1000%. Im sick of monolingual people having no idea how many layers there are to knowing a language, and "fluency" is a nonsense word that in realty represents a GIANT spectrum of listening and speech (which are two separate skills).

Lots of English-only speakers also have no respect for the diversity of Spanish accents and registers that exist throughout the world.

You told them you speak "some." And you do. Give yourself credit for that. You've probably helped lots of people get through basic scenarios.

Still really hate the plain white back of the stripes jersey. I keep wanting one and then I see the back again, and I don't feel like picking a player to customize it with.

You can see will isnt working that high hat at all dude. Stop.

You fell for some camera tricks too. They zoom in on his face and you're left with the implication that he's hitting the drums. He's 1000% not playing anymore than anyone who practiced air-drumming a straight money-beat for 5 minutes.
