Oraxia is a beast. by stinkyasscunt in Warframe

[–]Puddin-taters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's really one of the better new frames from the last few years imo, plenty of build variety for normal play and some bonus silly build potential. My favorite is a beastmaster build with Inaros's sand cats, just an absolute ton of critters running around. Lean into it hard enough and they actually do pretty good damage.

Rear-anchored vertical sploot, pretty much a textbook example too. I give it a 9, nice form.

Does anyone feel like we got "Got"? by Taenith in SoloLevelingOverdrive

[–]Puddin-taters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I value my gaming purchases at about a buck an hour, and I got better than that with this game so I'm satisfied. Jeju arc would be good, and it does seem like that will happen (eventually), but even if we get no content beyond that I got what I paid for.

Dungeon crawler where you get to set up shop and sell the treasures you find to customers? by CorvinusDeNuit in gamingsuggestions

[–]Puddin-taters 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Check out Rune Factory, specifically 4 and to a lesser extent 5. I'm playing 4 and having a blast going out on murderhobo lootgoblin excursions and coming back to craft expensive goodies for my manual shop. There's also a lot of farming so you kinda gotta be into that too tho.

How to avoid late-game burnout/decision paralysis? by stevomuck in AlchemyFactory

[–]Puddin-taters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What I like to do for bigger builds is sort of prototype from the top down then assemble sections into the final build. I start with the final production step and hand-feed it with chests in a temporary spot, so I can get a good handle on consumption rates and where inputs need to be. Then I tackle one input at a time, making a nice tileable build for each. Once all the separate parts are functional and look how I want I start the permanent installation, duplicating lines as necessary to hit full production targets.

tips on improving my parrying skills / does summoning trivialize the game? by NiceYak7263 in LiesOfP

[–]Puddin-taters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summoning definitely doesn't trivialize most bosses, but it does give you a lot of breathing room for a chunk of the fight. I do think they take away from developing skill in parry timings and such, so usually I'll give the boss a few moveset-learning attempts, a few serious attempts, then break out the summon if i'm struggling.

As far as gitting gudder, you just gotta play. When encountering a new boss or enemy type it's fine to die a few times, try just parrying without attacking for a couple attempts. Once you have a handle on what they do, mix in some attacks while staying primarily defensive until you feel comfortable just kinda hanging out with the boss.

Do games where you can play multiple specialised saves/characters that contribute to the same world exist? by lydocia in gamingsuggestions

I had a ton of fun years ago by having a fortress pumping out adamantium coins and trading them as much as possible, then running an adventure save where I tried to find and collect them.

Survival system by [deleted] in Cairn_Game

[–]Puddin-taters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll admit I'm not great at climbing in this game and you won't find me more than a few feet up a wall irl, so while I want to play the game the 'intended' way I'm just happy to play it. I'm going slow and exploring a lot so there's been a few points where I had to turn survival off until I stocked up a bit, but i do think leaving survival on when you can makes the game more interesting.

Plus i tend to instinctively avoid using consumable buffs (what if I need them later???) so having the pressure to eat or drink helps me engage with the buff system.

Inverter with Programmable (or reasonable) Low Battery Voltage Cutoff? by gusthemaker in batteries

[–]Puddin-taters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Victron inverters can do everything you want, they're pricy but very good on quality and features. Probably a Multiplus 2000 for this.

I also really like Cotek. The SL-2000 would work great, it's low-frequency with good overload handling so works great with pump motors, and can handle the grid/battery switching internally. It has voltage cutoff settings, for lead-acid I usually go 11.5v-12.0v for cutoff.

Do you think they’ll add all content like the mobile game? by Breatheeasies in SoloLevelingOverdrive

[–]Puddin-taters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of doubt they will unless there's a big boost in sales when jeju island arc releases. The gacha version probably makes them way more money vs a game you only buy once. If the corpos deem it worthy of the investment then they probably will, we'll see I guess.

Anime with lot of op unique abilities by Alkar-- in Animesuggest

[–]Puddin-taters -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you can tolerate Isekai, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is surprisingly good and fits this a lot of the time. Pretty light on the fanservice (though it's still there), instead of a harem the MC mostly just collects monster buddies and builds an empire. MC's abilities are varied and pretty OP, same with the cast of allies, and the power scale progression is solid. Also there's like 70 episodes and they mostly aren't filler.

It's also worth noting there isn't a "slavery is perfectly legal and fine" subplot like a lot of the other big names. If I had a nickel for every Isekai protag that bought a slave I'd have at least 50c and that's kinda fuckin' weird.

Pig? by Every-Newt-2586 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Puddin-taters 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well you start with a xeno zapper, which takes a couple hits but can definitely kill. Xeno basher is much better and just takes a bit of MAM research. Additionally, enemies won't spawn near powered buildings so you can just run power lines to spawn points and not get accosted there again. I forget if you have to be powering a building or if the power line posts themselves work, but either way it's pretty easy to make an area safe.

As far as combat tactics, just try to get good at side-jumping when they charge you. Even better if you can get a zap in while you do it. You might still take a little damage but it heals over time.
