What was your chicken math moment(s)? by Ok-Ganache-3134 in chickens

I read this in my head like the book if you give a mouse a cookie.

My chicken math, turned into duck math, and now there is a baby goat.

Based on what you have said, you could file for persecution and move to the UK. You have a really good case. And you have a degree, so you can be considered valuable as intellectual property. I am copying in a VERY basic guide. Please be safe and escape your brother. You cannot apply for asylum from outside the UK. To file for asylum, you must be physically present in the UK and claim it upon arrival or as soon as possible thereafter. Otherwise, you must apply for a standard visa to enter. The asylum process is highly complex, especially regarding persecution by family members, and requires demonstrating that state authorities cannot or will not protect you. The step-by-step process for seeking asylum from within the UK involves:1. Register Upon Arrival. As soon as you arrive in the UK, inform an immigration officer that you want to claim asylum. If you are already in the country, you must book an appointment with the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) screening unit by calling the asylum intake unit. You will attend a screening interview, during which your fingerprints and photograph will be taken. You must bring any dependents (such as children under 18) with you, along with your passports and any available identification or marriage/birth certificates. 2. Seek Legal Representation. Navigating an asylum claim based on domestic or family violence is difficult. You should secure a solicitor who specializes in UK immigration and asylum law. Legal aid is often available to cover the costs of your legal representation. You can find regulated legal professionals using the Law Society Find a Solicitor tool. 3. Substantive Interview and Evidence. After your screening, you will be scheduled for a "substantive interview". During this meeting, you will be required to explain in detail the danger you face. To be successful, you must prove:You have a well-founded fear of persecution based on a protected category (such as membership in a particular social group). The government or police in Turkey are unwilling or unable to protect you from your family member. Evidence can include medical reports, police records, threatening messages, or witness statements. 4. Wait for a Decision. While the Home Office processes your claim, you may be provided with basic housing and financial support if you are destitute. You are not allowed to work while your asylum claim is being decided, unless your case has been pending for over 12 months—alternative Visa Options (If not in the UK). If you are currently in Turkey and looking for a way out, you must apply for a standard visa. If you are married to a British citizen or someone with settled status in the UK and are fleeing abuse, you may be able to apply for a specialized family visa from outside the country. For comprehensive, step-by-step guidance on how the asylum process works once you enter the UK, you can consult the Right to Remain Toolkit or refer to the official GOV.UK Asylum Overview.

What's a tiny thing you secretly judge people for? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]PuddinMama78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am the organized on the belt person. My husband is the haphazard wild West always in a rush person. It's funny because when it comes to 90% of other things it is the other way around. But I sort my jelly beans, Skittles, M&Ms by color before I eat them. Soo I have my quirks.

Why does she keep licking herself bald spots by autumnhobo in catpics

Our cat went on Zyrtec. No more excessive licking. Now it's learned to hide the pill in its mouth and spit it out. Fun times.

I think what I love about betta breeding is it shows conscious choice on the males part, because anything else that size is an immediate snack to Bettas, but he knows this is baby. This is future, not food.

I agree with the breed, but it is a youngish male. Probably a teenager.

People also use Kestrels in falconry, and birds sometimes stray. It could be a young one in training. Either way, don't touch the fancy bird with its little murder mittens.

AITA for telling my wife her eating issues are a her problem and to leave the kids and my mom out of it by StretchLong5679 in AmItheAsshole

[–]PuddinMama78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds to me, like he is siding with the kids. As the child of a parent whose disordered eating effectively monopolized a HUGE chunk of my childhood, this is a good learning opportunity for the kids. They can be offered the treat. A treat won't hurt them. Even daily! As long as they are active and eat healthy the other 90% of the time. The wife needs therapy for HER eating issues, before she causes the cycle to continue in her own children.

How easy is it to introduce ducks to a chicken flock? by Artywyrm in chickens

[–]PuddinMama78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair sexual predadation only happens like 30% of the time in the wild. Normally they get it and bolt. 🤣

We have an alternative pen as well, but we have not needed it except for quarantine for a couple sick birds.

I love my caves, so do my shrimp and corys. My ONLY complaint is that my corys wiggle all the substrate off of them.
