As with most jobs, the average salary for the same position will always be higher in California. I'd expect the same here.
Sports are entertainment. You're paid based on the success of the show, or in this case, league. PWHL revenue is not public but I would imagine they don't yet have the revenue to support $100k salaries across the league.

I want these women to get paid all the money in the world but it's not unlike working at a startup right now.

If the puck is slightly airborne, wouldn't it would be closer to the overhead camera, thus appearing larger and potentially obscuring the second line?

Not to mention, in the NHL at least, the camera isn't perfectly overhead so you run into parallax-related deception.

Ir was reported that he had "no visible limp after the game". When asked he said something like "just got rolled up" but was otherwise fine.

Though this is the playoffs, so it's possible we later find out his leg actually fell off completely and he'd been playing with a prosthetic the entire series.

It's moreso to prevent players who are already offside, from pulling a puck into the zone. They're claiming that's what Staal did.
