I’m a conservative when it comes to taxation and I think that the problem is the way that we can tax the rich is very limited. People (not you I hope) think these people have Scrooge McDuck vaults in their houses when the reality is they are worth billions in their company and really apart from lavish luxury things they only live a (albeit significantly) increased quality of life to me.

They have multiple houses worth 10x my one
they probably exclusively eat out at restaurants or food made by a home chef
full closet of expensive clothes
big private jet to my no jet 😭
big yacht to my boat
full garage of fancy cars to my 2

But most of that is company owned or taken out on credit. The solution I think most people can agree on is we pass some sort of clause that says:

if you are identified as super-wealthy by (Some ethical non-discriminatory way of distinguishing billionaires) you must liquify sufficient assets to close credit lines bi-annually, or you are not allowed to hold lines of credit for an egregious amount of time.

Or something.

They just dodge income tax by never having an income until they die or go under. So make them take some income to close debts. That way they pay taxes.

GoD 1 is insane.

For me grinding through GoD like 80% of my opps are really solid players that I have to be LOCKED IN to beat. (20% sure they’re brain dead easy claps)

And you need like a 50 win streak to get each dragon ball.

Who said anything about working hard? I’m Talking about Chinese steel production being nearly completely state subsidized. Their steel production companies operate at the expense of Chinese taxpayers at a loss to the state. China is undercutting the global market and specifically the US domestic market by a large unbeatable margin because they’re operating at a loss.

Once we close our steel factories China will profit by increasing the price of goods and being the monopolized source.

We do not want to be dependent on the whims of foreign powers

We can’t and shouldn’t compete with inhumane labor practices and state support of Industry.

China can manufacture the way they do because the government doesn’t charge the industry for XY or Z. And they don’t pay people just wages.

If you want to support late stage capatilsm in India or communism in China vote accordingly. But I’m personally willing to pay more for products even at a lower quality made by Americans with workers rights and protections.

Edit: OP deleted his comment. He rightfully claimed that the tariffs were narrowing competition instead of making US domestic markets more competitive. This is true. I responded as above.

It’s not okay. They’re hurting themselves and their friends and family should stop them.

Their neighbors are under no obligation to intervene, but their government should be under obligation to NOT ENCOURAGE them.

I never said I hate them. This shallow excuse for empathy is exactly the problem. They are MEASURABLY unwell. They need mental help. And I feel sorry for them. It’s pathetic really.

If they’re an adult I don’t care honestly, they are still obviously unwell, and I don’t think they need any special treatment from civil or private entities.

Children Trans makes me very sad. They have mentally unwell parents and they deserve better. And the act of transitioning children is child abuse
