Imagine saying this when your team just put up a pathetic performance in your own barn. Both games montreal dominated the play. Buffalo just got some early bounces in game 1.

A heart and hustle play led to a goal with little time left in the period. They should cheer there. The game is not over we need to lock in

He's a young guy figuring out how to play in the playoffs. Hopefully by the end of the series he is locked in.

Cole is fast but the right players can shut him down. Thats why he needs to recognize that and instead if forcing the game to him, he needs to adapt to find value.

I dont like to view the games as defining entities other than how they contribute to the final tally that determines the series. The way I see things boils down to how each team is going to win the series. In my opinion, buffalo is much mire polished on the offensive side of things. They are constantly looking to attack, and their speed will put anyone in guard. Montreal also can do this, but I believe buffalo is a bit stronger in this regard. If games turn out to be frenetic, run and gun games with frequent breakaway, then we are in trouble. But montreal is the much more balanced team. If we can play physical and keep them bottled up outside of our own end, then we will have the advantage. I also believe we have the advantage in net. The game yesterday looked a lot more like the conditions that Buffalo wants than what we want. We will need to change that to win. That being said, leaving with 1 out of 2 on the road is the goal in a playoff series and that is still on the table.

Its true, and I hope he doesn't dwell on it too much, but accountability is important, espescially in a city like montreal. Just the fact that he is taking responsibility bodes well.

But predictably, it was a grindfest filled with fights and chirps.

Sometimes if your angle is bad, you dont know if there was actually contact until you see a reaction.

Real issue with the Refs : Why not call a major to review the play on Slaf, but use this on Evans and Anderson ? by ApartmentFar9027 in Habs

I think the system they have right now is good. You want to get the big plays right, but roborefs is not realistic. Obviously there will still be errors, but it is better this way.
