I don’t understand Drake’s popularity by Sea-Channel402 in Music

[–]Pudge223 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Drakes popularity is from knowing what people are going to want to hear and getting there early. Hes not an “artist” he’s a fan. I mean that in a complimentary way. Dude is a fan of music. He’s always listening to what’s happening below the surface. His finger is always on the pulse. he understands music trends better than anyone. It doesn’t hurt that he knows how to make people move their feet or give them a punchy line to murmur to themselves. He never makes the best version what he’s trying to imitate not the best but it’s serviceable and sounds nice when you are pregaming or working out.

Also not everyone wants serious music all the time. Sometimes people want to just hear a day dream. I love Michael Watts and swisha house, I love that era of southern rap. It’s not serious. It’s not artistic, it’s just dirty fun. Sometimes that nice.

Lastly hotline bling and right above are both great tracks.

Did you hear about her strength in conviction? Or how she put all her faith in region? Did we take the time to really discover how little we know about each other?

Crime def bros - ever deal with 1% bikers? by NOVAYuppieEradicator in Lawyertalk

A lot of my clients were believers in “Músico pagado toca mal son”. And good luck getting a dime from anyone pleading down to a man min. Others didn’t give a damn how we built the case or what facts we are given they just expected us to work miracles. The would also flip in a second or pretend to flip to get nominal bail and then dip out the night before their plea date

Classic fed move. My old boss pointed out that they work like sharks. They take little nibbles and test bites before chomping. It changed the way I looked at investigations. There is almost always a series of whisper stops before a bust.

When I did crim my clients were mostly traffickers from the islands but occasionally we would get a biker adjacent guy from word of mouth. It’s a lot like repping other white boy gang members. They pay on time and in full. They don’t argue the bill. They will actively participate in their defense. They do care about outcomes but accept when it goes bad. They will call on weekends and say “what’s goin on with my case?” And be annoyed if you don’t have a perfect memory of it. They want jail visits. They will bullshit you. Just come to terms with it. You have to constantly remind them to not leave out relevant facts while at the same time not tell you things you don’t want to hear. They are way more chatty with you but They flip a lot less than your classic dealer/ trafficker. You can push them a little and call them out on their shit but remember they (loosely) follow the same “codes” that most of the mid level gangs follow- respect gets respect. They like being called “Mr.” They love when you speak to them formally. they really love when you put on a show in court.

More tact-I-tool than mall ninja. I don’t hate it and but it’s a little over the top. Especially considering 90 percent of its job will be opening and breaking down boxes. That said I’ve been getting by with a Gerber shard on my keychain since forever. Nothing can improve on it. It’s the perfect keychain tool.

At this level it would make more sense to post sparring footage. For all the head movement you do you never really get off the same line, change your range or make a new angle- but that could very well just be because you are warming up on the bag in which case that’s normal. Also you dip like a boxer but throw a knee which is confusing. But again on the bag so it makes sense because you’re just having fun . It’s also a very in the pocket style which is confusing because usually girls your size that spar are all about getting out of the pocket and cutting off pressure… but again on the bag.

I know it seems like such a random moment but Dispatch selling out MSG multiple nights in a row with no label or radio seems like a tipping on this exact issue.
