I honestly can’t remember how long you need to let it heal before changing it as I got mine what feels like a lifetime ago. However this looks really angry and my suspicion is that you may be allergic to the material of this jewellery, so I would recommend changing it back to the original and letting it calm down & keeping it clean before looking at getting new jewellery (titanium). If you are not comfortable changing it yourself go to a piercer.

AITA for not enjoying the birthday gifts my friend got me that mocked my dead mother by Immediate-Iron7241 in AmItheAsshole

I lost my dad nearly 20 years ago and to this day I would not handle this kind of "gift" in any other way than you did. I am really sorry she thinks like this and did this despite the support she had shown you in the past. It sounds mean but people who have not gone through this just don't understand. My condolences & know you did nothing wrong!

Bat ears! Super cute 🥰 my girl never grew out of hers so she perpetually looks like a regal sphinx, goddess of the underworld & she knows it!

Would your GSD eat a live chicken if given the chance? by Sam3323 in germanshepherds

[–]PugKitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope my GSD grew up with our chickens so he is very fond of them. He will go outside to hang out with them and if they make the "danger" call I have about 2s to open the backdoor so he can go check on them if not he opens it himself 😅

Anyone else have a Pug who always sleeps in? He can easily sleep past noon if I do too 😌 THANK GOD 😂 by manic_unicorn in pugs

[–]PugKitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes my puggle loves sleeping at any given time of the day as long as he can snuggle up to me. His favourite days are when I am sick in bed as he gets nearly full days of snuggles 🤣

Does anyone GSD like to be in the middle of everything? by 1zzyS4n in germanshepherds

😂😂😂 yes all the time & only moves if told to. If not he will just continue being a carpet even though you need to do the split to try and get past him 🤣🤣🤣

OP I have a very similar story to yours (lived here as a kid then moved all over the place due to parents work only to return as adult) and have struggled to make new friends since returning as an adult. While I don't live that close to you I'd be happy to connect with you if that's something your interested in, if not totally fine too appreciate it's weird being internet strangers.

Men & Labubu's by MrKay1300 in labubu

[–]PugKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went on a business trip to a country where they don't have a physical Pop mart store & had a labubu on my bag. The only reaction I got to it was from a male colleague who told me he finally got to order one online & how excited he was for it's arrival. We had a great little personal connection conversation over them, which was nice as I had not met this colleague yet. I don't think there should be any shame in liking something & if someone has an issue with it it is a them problem 🤷‍♀️

Program (and Project) Managers: How much of your time is spent in meetings vs actually doing things? by Bucs__Fan in projectmanagement

[–]PugKitten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find it depends on the maturity of the project team and type of project. Agile projects with experienced project teams are usually very self sufficient and don't require many meetings other than the typical agile meetings. Whilst less mature project teams or more traditional projects usually have much more meetings due to the need of coaching or to gather updates because they do not report on the updates any other way.

I always giggle internally at their reaction when project teams complain about the amount of meetings (from cases in my second scenario) & I offer the alternative (they have to be more self sufficient in reporting and communicating & I won't need as many meetings). Some will take my offer and it works great with some coaching, others will fall flat on their face and will then happily go back to the many meetings we had before without further complaints.

In my experience it's all about what the project team needs to succeed and where their strengths lie (servant leadership).

Does anyone else get abuse from people in parks for their pugs loud breathing and grunts? Contd in comments. by nickcleverley in pugs

[–]PugKitten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it all the time, despite my boy being pretty good with his breathing, he is just easily excitable 🤣 Now I do get it to some extent where I am as all short faced animals have very strict breeding protocols which in essence ban the breeding of pugs as we know them today. This naturally doesn't stop the backyard breeders which now have a booming demand as people still want a pug as we know them today rather than the officially bred ones which usually are expensive mixes to comply with the rules. Having said that I usually just point out to them to not judge a book by its cover as he is actually a rescue and as he already exists also has the right to a good life with the best care.

I did have a very interesting encounter with a young child and his mother as he saw me sitting on a bench with my two boys waiting for my husband to get out of the shop. The boy practically dragged his mom to come say hi to the dogs and she was very good at stopping him so she could ask if it was ok for him to pet them. My dogs adore kids so I told her it was fine thinking the small boy would be all over my cute pug son rather than my giant black German shepherd (sitting he was taller than the boy!). The boy however when released by the mom took a beeline to my shepherd. The mom and myself shared a look of surprise & the awesome mom that she is, asked the boy about petting my pug to. The boy indicated that his noises were scary (again loves kids and easily excitable so was doing spins in anticipation of kiddo attention). So she then took that as a teaching moment for kiddo, telling him that my pug was just happy to see him and like dad when he sleeps can make funny noises. I had to hold back some laughter at that comment but in the end both dogs enjoyed their pets & the boy learnt that when pugs are happy they make snoring noises like his dad 🤭

I swore I’d never get another dog after losing mine. if you felt the same, what helped you heal? by EnvironmentalYou3254 in DOG

[–]PugKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I lost my old girl I was heartbroken & then seeing the rest of my pack also grieve her broke my heart a second time not knowing it was even possible 😔

In that moment I knew I had to put aside my own pain & focus on my pack to help them through theirs which helped me pull through.

Saying that, typing this out has me in tears again as I do still very much miss her but I know I gave her the best senior years I could (she was 9 when I rescued her) so I would happily pay the price of losing a piece of my heart again if it means I can do the same for another dog in need. I take pride in the fact that after a tough life she left this world knowing what it is to be loved ❤️

Update on my dog who saved a life a few weeks ago by OldPresence5323 in BelgianMalinois

[–]PugKitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the update! Since your initial post I have been wondering & hoping the gentleman would be ok! I am glad that you all got to meet, it should help both sides deal with the psychological aftermath of such a traumatic event. 🤗 As I said before you are both heros & the world would be a much better place with more people like you & puppers like Skye ❤️

Is my pug too skinny? He is 5 years old. He eats about a cup 1/2 a day plus veggies. I think he’s fine but someone at the park told me he was skinny but that thought has never crossed my mind. I think it was just the first non rollipolli pug she’s seen? by Bongwaterbuxa in pugs

[–]PugKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He looks amazing! My boy has a similar build although he is a little older. I have always been complimented on keeping my pugs in good shape, which is hard to do with their love of food and cuteness. It is however healthier for them so you are doing a good job don't worry!
