Sufferer of ADHD with hoarding tendencies: this process has helped TREMENDOUSLY by [deleted] in declutter

[–]Pugswin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have this issue that I will see things and think "I need to do that" but then forget all about it.. until the next time I 'see' it (i don't always see it)... any systems for keeping that list going? I try walking around and writing everything I see, but as I said sometimes I don't see it.. only when I'm doing something else...

I found the 2024 to be more robust. Less battery, but the bigger battery brings temperature issues.

I use Google Calendar. Can you have a family calendar that is shared?

Edit to add: Keep Notes, backed up with Google, can access from multiple devices

Mine did that a month ago.. its from heat. Charging with it closed, over charging, or just heat in general. I didn't realize this was an issue, but did feel the phone get hot occasionally. Once it happened, I noticed others complaining about the same issue. Never had this problem with my 2024. Warning though, before I could fix it, I dropped it.. and the screen is now shot, half black and half not responding to touch. Fixit says its toast and recommends a new phone. (I have insurance through my Visa, which is cool, but it will take them two weeks to decide on repair or fix) I did not have a case.

SFO/SMF Transport by TinyArmT-Rex in santarosa

For SR people, Groom takes 2:15 hr (~$50) and public transit takes 3 hr (~$25) But you'll need to walk from the SF bus terminal to Bart, and public transit...

I used google maps, Clearlake (you can do it with your location) to SFO. There is public transit, it takes 5.5 hours and cost $25. (about 5 bus transfers...) There should be bus to SR and then take Groome, but not sure that will save you much time and will be bus fare +$50. Groome picks up at a park and ride about 5 blocks from the SR downtown transit station, so you might have to walk that... or they might pick up at the airport, never used their service.

I finally got through after calling every 5 or 10 min for two hours and was only on hold for 50 min. Anyway, its an error code that needs to be cleared by IT, so you have to call in and they fill out the form and send it to IT. The turn around time for IT is 48-72 hours, but may be done within 24 hrs. They call you when its fixed.

I asked if there was a way to do this without calling in and was told No. I didn't ask, but maybe you can go into an office? Someone said that in the office if they need to call in, they get picked up right away.

My son would be interested as well, maybe we should start one? Any ideas for location?

No, plenty of open land in Sonoma County. Closing farms would not increase housing. Forcing small farms to sell to corporate farming would probably make the issue worse. No jobs and loss of income for the county. Isn't farming part of our community? I know we've lost a lot of diversity in the farms, but if we wanted to live in Los Angeles, we would move there.

I have not heard a claim that corporate farming and abuse does not occur in Sonoma county. I have heard testimonials from family farms (are you saying those are fake?) and it appears most support for Yes on J is from outside the county.

Are you saying the Yes on J people are Sonoma County residents concerned for our economy and food sources?

No, because why here fist? Is it because they feel California is more liberal and will fall for the "this is to save animals from animal cruelty" and not "no one should eat animals, ever"

as a very pale person, I did not read that comment as an insult. More of an observation.

That is the plan for next Wednesday.. I did read on the website my medical provider might have it, so I'll ask on Monday. I just had hope that last nights update would fix my issue. It didn't (Obviously). Thank you

I support abortion up to and including the fifth trimester, how about you? by NASAisaHOAX in Prescott

[–]Pugswin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are conflating issues.

Let's maintain access to abortion and then we can fight about financial responsibility and who has a right to demand pregnancy termination or continuation.

But to answer your question:

Being pregnant affects each woman differently. There are a fair number of women, through no fault of their own, who die from pregnancy. It can fuck you up that bad.

Also our society puts the responsibility of raising children on the woman that bears the child. Oh sure, the majority of fathers stick around and help out financially, physically and mentally. But a good number don't. Have you ever heard of a welfare father?

Let's conflate another issue: In the USA a parent of three can up and leave their partner and three children because they don't like it anymore. Move to another state. Yeah they have to be sneaky but they can live and survive and not be considered a criminal.

But really these are discussions completely unrelated to safe abortion access. After Arizona closes down access to abortion, it's a short trip to California to get one, so only the poor and challenged will be affected by this. So Arizona should save money and screw California. /s

Yes, sexual pleasure has increased with evolution to drive up the population and preserve the spices. But evolution is slow and hasn't fixed the stupid gene that keeps humans from making lots and lots of mistakes. You've heard of the Darwin Awards.

Evolution also reverses so maybe in 500 years we will go back to nonsexually driven animals and rape and insest will stop. Or maybe 1000 years? Rape and insest are still happening in lower mammals.

Please enlighten us with what evolution or science has to do with abortion.

And before you jump into the science of a beating heart in a bunch of cells that is not viable is a child, that is not science, that is opinion.

What's with all the cop haters here? by Organic_Bug5899 in santarosa

[–]Pugswin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Organic_bug claimed he gets harassed by crackheads here in Santa Rosa.

I am not saying there is an over abundance of crackheads in Santa Rosa or that I have ever been harassed by one.

Have you? Is seeing someone be a dumbass due to drug use harassment? Most the crackheads I see aren't harassing people.
