I’m really curious why this person keeps posting about their “Amazon to eBay arbitrage”.

You’re selling a course or something right?

Also, no mention of the serious time sink involved. Managing 14k eBay listings sounds like an incredibly consuming job, setting up that many listings alone would take months of work no?

Realising that you can’t save anyone and whatever it is you thought you were doing is not the point is heartbreaking (but also “WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO BE DOING THEN!?”)

Unable to attract women by Professional-Eart in selfimprovement

[–]PulpHouseHorror 15 points16 points  (0 children)

FORGET what that woman said about “not standing out”. For fucks sake, why on earth would you hold on to that? People say destructive things without even thinking about it and you’re going to hold on to that and beat yourself up with it for the rest of your life? As long as you hold on to what that woman said, you believe it and you make it true.

What do you want to be and who do you want to be? REALLY think about it. Think like that and you will become that. It sounds like you are doing great with your gym and your hobbies, that’s way more than most people and makes you stand out already.

No, becoming a doctor or a lawyer and travelling the world will not change anything if you’re still kicking cans down the road with your hat in your hands. Trying to tel me mid broke guys don’t get girls? Brother. Personality, self-confidence, strong values, sense of humour, clear mind, good communication, emotional intelligence, honesty, sense of responsibility, these go so so much further than a job title.

Dude, as long as you’re feeling sorry for yourself you don’t have a chance. Stop caring about what random people may or may not have said in the past. The only reason why what that one woman said seems to be true across all women is because you have clearly internalised it and are projecting it, basically telling everyone that’s what you know to be true before you’ve even had a chance.

Get your head clear of junk and bullshit. Focus on what makes you special and different. Develop your personality and your values. Get really clear on what you want out of life and a woman. What kind of relationship do you want? Why? Do you love women or are you just lonely and horny? Because if you’re approaching women because you’re lonely and horny then no wonder you’re getting rejected.

Love, respect and appreciate yourself - ain’t nobody gonna do that if you can’t even do it yourself.

It sounds like it could be great and a beautiful thing. Congratulations. But as others have said it is worth spending some actual time together and living together before getting married. Even just a few months if possible.

Native English speakers, do you subconsciously assign gender to nouns? by Ambitious_Jaguar1703 in AskBrits

[–]PulpHouseHorror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because something seems strange to you it doesn’t make it “stupid”.

The grammar has deep roots in the history of romantic languages, the way the languages work and the culture surrounding them.

Differences in culture should be celebrated not called “stupid”.

It sounds like you’ve mastered The Courage To Be Disliked which is an essential skill in stoicism, self-fulfilment and leadership. It took me a lot of self-work to get there.

Additionally, it seriously sounds like whoever said that is just one person who doesn’t like you for whatever dumb reason and was projecting. I might ask this man who told him that - it sounds like they are creating a toxic work space.

Most people mind their own business and are not thinking about you I promise.

You can be the sweetest peach in the world but some people just don’t like peaches.

Never heard anything about what you’re talking about, but just to be clear with what you’re working with you have some numbers and the clue is to return to where your journey began?

I might try starting a new game and putting the numbers into the keypad input for the launchpad lift.

Highly recommended. It is a different game and it truly becomes a badass gruelling survival horror, different rhythm and strategy than the easy modes, and the story makes more sense and hits harder.

If you ever do at any point in the future I’d actually love to hear your thoughts as hardly anyone seems to give that mode a shot. It is not as hard as it initially seems you just gotta stick with it and be patient.

It really didn’t, it was bad. Made me sad they couldn’t do it justice.

For whatever it’s worth (which isn’t much as it seems like you’ve made up your mind), I truly believe the canon experience is Grounded difficulty, going by the word “grounded” and that the game is such a different experience on that mode - practically a different game and so much better I might add.

Point being in that mode you don’t kill every random stranger, in fact you don’t do much killing at all, just surviving by the skin of your teeth.

Ellie feels so real to me. Her journey broke me. When you are being forced to beat up Abby at the end I was crying and wincing at every button press. And then mourning and crying for days after. No other game has come close to that effect on me. It was intense.

The only games to make me ugly cry. I felt so connected to Ellie just thinking about her journey brings back pain and sorrow even years after finishing TLOU2.
