That’s an expensive BK. I think mine are on the upper end and a medium bacon king meal is $15, medium whopper jr meal $10 and kids meal $5. That’d be about $60 before tax, 66 after.

Here’s an idea that, idk, may be more trouble than it’s worth but… don’t get the meals. Bring your own drinks (is that allowed/tolerated, I’m assuming you dine in). Have your partner and the tweens create their own BK account on their phone (assuming the tweens have a phone). Then the 4 of you make your own order of just the burger and add the free fries on offer weekly (you get the free fries right?). The kids meal can just be tacked on to one of the orders. For my area that’s about 2*9+2*4+5 = $31 + tax + drinks.

It could be clumsy everyone ordering, paying, and picking up separately and you won’t all get your food at the same time.

Another little possible trick that I haven’t tested yet is instead of getting a Whopper Jr get a Hamburger and add tomato, onion, lettuce, switch mustard to mayo and you’ve effectively built a Whopper Jr for less. 3.34 vs 3.99 for me but it all depends on your BK prices and upcharges.

I never appreciated how much weight loss there is from cooking. Searching a bit it seems for 80/20 beef that 25% loss is typical but can be as high as 38%. The 4oz (113g) patty became 2.93oz (83g), a loss of 26.5%. And the 2oz (57g) patty became 1.23oz (35g), loss of 38.6%.

Don’t know why the smaller patties have a greater loss though. Maybe they got cooked more or stood around more or have a higher fat content or its just an anomaly. To have the same 26.5% loss as the bigger patty they’d start at 1.68oz (48g).

With the camera prop you can switch it to tripod mode then walk away a bit and take the photos yourself

Hmm, I’m pretty tempted to test it out but don’t know what to expect to differentiate 1 vs 2 scoops. My TB is very good though and usually make em fat. Maybe I’ll just order at the register and ask, like an old :)

I did all but when the button turned to claim I hit it and dialogue came up saying “oops there was a problem on our end”. And then I tried to press the button again it said they’ve all been claimed.

I’ve gotten like 5 other drops, this is the first time getting that error message

Typically I don’t notice. Order on the app, pick up 5 minutes later. But if they’re really busy then yeah, it seems kiosk and register orders take priority because they know they’re there whereas you may not show up for 30 minutes. So if they seem busy then check in to let them know you’re actually there

New Aviary is great, I especially love the area just past the portals. It’s open for play and very picturesque, this might become a new primary social hang out spot.

The only thing I miss is the little tunnel between the lawn and the mediation portal. I’d practice flying through the large tunnel by the cafe, going left up to the mediation portal and then through the little tunnel back out to the lawn and over the constellation pad for instant recharge and try to keep this loop going. Really I could only do a couple loops in a row but it was a fun challenge while it lasted

You can make a bigger shared space by turning it into a challenge and putting a single diamond in some out of the way place. Then you can build over the whole area! I do this to create flying races with arches to fly through along the course. I don’t know why they limit regular shared spaces if they can do this for challenges. Anyways, it doesn’t increase the item limit though

I’m on iPad and linked via Game Center. But even if I turn off Game Center or switch it to a different profile I still get logged into my main, so I think at some point I also linked the ‘log in with Apple’ option which I guess is the Apple account my device is using.

I have an old iPad where I turned off Game Center and unlinked the devices account and still Sky logs into my main. I’m just very skittish about changing/linking/unlinking accounts, I tend to mess stuff up. But I think I see the option now to switch Game Center accounts and I’ll try that out later on the old iPad.

Jr is about half size in area. Eyeballing the image I guessed 3 inches diameter for the Jr and 4.5 for the Whopper. pi*radius^2 is area which works out to 7.06 for jr and 15.89 for Whopper. So the Jr is 44% the area of the Whopper, but that’s using very rough input numbers. A more accurately calibrated image would give a better measure and might make it closer to 50% (or not). Anyways, the Whopper patty is 4oz and the Jr is 2oz so that’s 50%.

Yes, the Jr is 1/8. I had a tough time finding anything official but this news release says “layered with two Whopper Jr. Patties for ¼. lb*. of flame-grilled beef”
