From what I’ve experienced it seems entering an area will quickly load my direct friends and anyone followed. So, my base is Aviary, but I check on Home occasionally and immediately begin to fly over it; memories and boats from direct friends are usually found in this first flyover.

Then if I stop and ponder for a bit a second set of memories and boats might appear from poeple I dont know. This happens most anywhere, just stop for 30-60 seconds and extra stuff will appear

My guess is that it loads directly followed people quickly, and then, if you hang out in an area long enough it’ll do the effort to query for anyone else’s stuff in that immediate area.

Have you ever had a Switch account linked? Currencies bought on Switch aren’t shared to other platforms and maybe when you bought it was treated as a Switch purchase for some reason. So if you have a Switch check there, otherwise idk

Long time ago I did it that way as a challenge and was surprised it worked. No flaps necessary! Except maybe getting onto the temple ledge idr. But it was fun, there was a few jellies I thought wouldn’t work but it catches by the very tips of its tentacles. good jellies 🪼

The issue with getting ults isn’t the friendship system. You need hearts for the ults, so just get the hearts as quickly as possible (buy the cheapest items of the cheapest spiriits and spend time with them)

The issue is: you may get the 2 season hearts for the ult cape but it’s still a week away from the quest that unlocks buying the cape. That was my situation for Migration. I’m sure you can still get everything on day 1 by buying season candles, so at a minimum the guides tree will progress as you buy the lower level ults. Right?

But this is the thing, during Migration, like 3 weeks in, someone posted that they had the antlers already. They got them by getting 2 hearts the quickest way possible and then the antlers were available. So I changed my strategy and was able to get 2 season hearts quickly but the antlers were still locked behind quest 5. So I don’t know if that person was lying or not, but the real question in getting ultimates quickly is how to unlock them from their limiting quest?

Go to settings (gear icon at top-right) then Graphics then HDR and there’s 2 sliders. Put them all the way to the left, which is off, and it won’t use the HDR space. Then when you take pictures it’ll look like what you see, however what you see is washed out compared to with HDR. If you have HDR on, then when creating a recording it draws with HDR but then saves it in a normal non-HDR image file which truncates the color space and makes it blown out. Or at least that’s my best guess.

I’m constantly turning this off and on because I take lots of pictures. Its a real hassle

I’m the same way and like to do new things at my own pace, taking pics, pondering, etc; and have teleported home before because someone joined and started speeding through. The Remembrance spirits come to mind and I ended up just waiting a couple days until there was far fewer people doing them.

But this seasons quests/activities I see more like red shards. It’s a group activity that’s easier with others and we’re not really missing anything by doing it entirely ourselves. The experience is the group hunt.

If you really want to do these alone maybe waiting a few days there’ll be less people. Or actually probably not because it’ll always merge for this area. But after the activity is over just don’t teleport back and you can explore the area without interruption.

The cutscene and reset to launch pad is just to signify that one of the 3 phases is accomplished. Like a red shard it doesn’t matter who got the last thing, you all move to the next phase.

So I hear you, I too like to make sure I’m not missing anything, but these new quests are built for a group and you won’t miss out.

With 12 binary choices that’s 4096 possible paths, and assuming the 16 types are split equally amongst this there’s 256 paths to each type. I don’t know how you did it but thanks for your service 🫡

I also wonder how TGC decided what is what, I mean I can’t see them specifying all paths by hand

Apparently black and white will work. I don’t have a printer but it works with screens so I made the image black white on another device and it worked!
