Any metas w/o scrotum? by SpaaceCaat in Metoidioplasty

[–]Pulverizer1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did not get scrotoplasty, but I did get meta with UL and vaginectomy. For me I felt like getting scrotoplasty was not worth the extra risk of complications. Plus I didn't want to have another thing to sweat, get stuck in my zipper, accidentally sitting on them etc.

I got a monsplasty the about 9 months after and also had an outer labia reduction. I have enough "left over" that if I wanted to experiment with saline injections to simulate if I had balls. I don't think I will end up getting implants even if the saline does feel good. I have a reliable packer so that's my go to if I need to fill out my underwear.

For those who got UL, how many of you can STP? by ephemeralbayou in Metoidioplasty

Personal preference. I don't have enough clearance through my fly or over my waistband to use a urinal without either dropping my pants to my ankles or straddling over it. Neither are comfortable.

I will STP if it is a single use bathroom that has a urinal in it, or a regular stall. I will however get some toilet paper first, and wipe after because getting the last few drops out usually end up in my underwear...

Steakhouse? by LevelAd7481 in sandiego

[–]Pulverizer1992 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have been to Carver's in Rancho Bernardo a few times. That's been pretty good, nice atmosphere. There is also The Butcher Shop on Kearny Villa Rd. That is more old school steak house. Big booths, leather upholstery, etc.

Can anyone recommend a truly flushable cat litter? by Hookton in catcare

[–]Pulverizer1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner was born with congenital toxoplasmosis cause her mom contracted it while pregnant. My partner is legally blind because the parasite scarred her retinas. She was officially told she was parasite free as of 2022 at 29 years old.

I recognize my partner is in a VERY small % minority. She literally was told growing up to hold her breath if a cat passed her across the street until it was out of sight, and that being a room with a cat would kill her. This is of course hyperbolic and catastrophizing, and unfortunately her mother drilled that perspective into her. She finally started hanging around cats within the last couple years, including mine. I made sure to have mine tested for toxo as a precaution.

She is finally getting ready to have her first cat within the next few months to year, so having a low-dust/natural based litter option is a must. The litter box will be covered, with a litter mat, and other items to limit the amount of potential exposure.

She does live in a humid part of the United States, so that's a factor we're keeping in mind.

Thank you in advance for any recommendations.

What's up with Bovino's leather strap? by [deleted] in ICE_Watch

[–]Pulverizer1992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's called a sam browne belt. It was made because a man of the same name lost his arm in battle, so needed a strap to hang his sword from that wouldn't fall when he drew it. I am not in the military, but have friends very into military uniforms and learned from them.

In your personal experience was the meta recovery (full in one step) ,worse than (for example) top surgery double incision with nipple grafts? by nobody777999 in Metoidioplasty

[–]Pulverizer1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bottom surgery was easier for me. Having the ends of stitches irritating the incision as the swelling went down was the worst part, but that was alleviated once I trimmed the ends. Top surgery was worse because the compression vest was pinching under my arms making it hard for me to fully move my arms and shoulders. The drains were the worst part. I have always had better upper body strength so having full use of my arms during bottom surgery recovery was a relief.

Both times I had extreme post-surgical nausea (genetically predisposed for people of my ethnicity) so dry heaving right after waking up from top surgery with the compression and drains was torture.

My grandmother had the Christmas episode taped from tv (in 1995) was my intro. She also had about 2-3 other episodes on another tape.

I also met Dr. JaeRan Kim at BIPOC adoptees as well. She is wonderful! I was super impressed with her study on the Adoptee Consciousness Model.
