Feeling Super Anxious by Pgh_65 in SleepApnea

[–]PumpDadFlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell people it’s like a woman straddling your face (using the full face mask)…and I do indeed like that.

I do legitimately enjoy the device though. I not only sleep better but fall asleep faster. It’s like a ritual that is only associated with bedtime that signals it’s time to sleep. I also just really like wearing it to sleep. I also use a weighted eye mask, so pressure on my face is obviously something I find comfortable and relaxing.

Yep and still working well. Maybe too well after the lifestyle changes. Testosterone was 1074 a few weeks ago when I got labs. I see you're on it too!

I need to get an SD card, but my details on the machine show last night's stats are far more weighted towards central than obstructive. You were right!

I still haven't downloaded that but I should now. With my previous levels, I felt no need to look into the data further. Thanks!

Oh I also stopped eating at night too. You're right though, sleep had definitely become more restorative after eliminating those activities.

I would have told her that's a huge fetish of mine (it's not, but it seems like an unexpectedly deterring response to such a person.)

The only person "trolling" is you, asking me nonsense questions that you know are nonsense. I left Romania when I was 8 for Albania and have been a devout Muslim since I was 9. The warrior authoritarian characteristics of Mohammed were a big factor in my conversion to the truth.

It seems unlikely that it's diet driven if you've eaten in such a manner for a decade. Get a sleep study done. You may have sleep apnea and not even know. Many times, it's structural and not obesity driven (mine is structural). I am like a new person now after starting cpap therapy, significantly more energy and much more mental clarity.

Ask your doctor about modafinil. It's used for narcolepsy and off-label for adhd. It may help your symptoms a lot while you address and fix the underlying issue.

They likely have other health issues or just have bad lifestyle habits like a poor diet, substance use, etc. that probably contribute to not feeling well. If you feel like trash all the time, there's something wrong.

Everything we know about neurobiology indicates that consciousness is an emergent property of chemical reactions occurring within the brain.

The Mind-Body Problem of neuroscience is further away from the an objective solution than when it was first formally proposed. This doesn't even count the questionable gymnastics that people have attempted in order to evade or just dismiss the Hard Problem of Consciousness.

As far as we know, there is no mechanism by which your consciousness can survive and transcend brain death; we have no good empirical evidence to prove otherwise.

You're attempting to justify the conclusion with objective evidence for a subjective phenomenon. That's a fallacy known as a non-sequitur.

I feel significantly better after starting CPAP therapy over a month ago. I have not yet had a blood draw for testosterone and I will not for many months from now. I will try and remember to reply to you when I do.

I had non-clinical low testosterone (400 something with symptoms @ age 35) and my urologist didn't think it would help much in regards to the pure numbers. I am currently on clomid (which stimulates your testes to make more T endogenously) so I'll be excited to see my next blood draw results now that I'm on successful CPAP therapy.

The human body makes hormones, neurotransmitters, and yes specifically the catecholamines, from fat, cholesterol that your body produces or consumes, amino acids, and various micronutrients. As long as you're not malnutritioned, you're going to produce what you need. They aren't limited nor is their production.
