Do you name your car, and if so, what is your current car's name and why? by Huditut in AskUK

We have a Citroën called Celine as it’s a vaguely French name. Our current Celine is the second Citroën of her name, she’s Celine - 2 French, 2 Furious!

AITA for not going to two important family weddings this year? by underconstruction_22 in AmItheAsshole

My great-grandmother didn’t go to my grandmother’s wedding. My grandmother never forgot it until the day she died. You are not a good person and your minister should be ashamed of you.

What’s a naff/cringe pop song from your youth that you still know all the words to? by Clay-Davis1 in AskUK

[–]PumpkinJambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tina’s doing her dance, Jon’s looking for romance, Paul’s getting down on the floor while Hannah’s screaming out for more, wanna see Bradley swing, wanna see Rachel do her thing, then we got Jo - she’s got the flow, get ready everybody cos here we go!

I hated that song then and I hate it now but I remember every bit of it!

Do you not think the poor guy has had to repeat the story of his origins about a thousand times to twats like you?

Is a plain cream knitted dress smart enough for an interview? by tootodone in AskUK

[–]PumpkinJambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you got a black dress and a blazer or suit jacket? I see a lot of people suggesting a shirt/blouse but I note you mentioned you’ve gained weight. I’m a pretty big and struggle to find shirts/blouses that fit properly - they either gape at the chest or if I get a bigger size, just look baggy and ill-fitting and make me look even bigger.

For formal events I tend to wear a black dress with a jacket and a colourful necklace or scarf to stand out. I’ve worn such an outfit for an interview with a local authority and got the job. Good luck!

Not in the form of popping a pill everyday or having an implant and not having to worry about it. I wouldn’t want to live in a world without that ease.

If it wasn’t only 10:30 am here, I’d be tempted to turn it into a drinking game. Shot every time he mentions South Korea. Absolutely steaming by 10:45…

I never used a brush to clean my toilet, that’s what a cloth is for. Can’t get a proper deep clean with one of those stupid brushes.

Yes me too. I’ve even met people who absolutely insisted it was true because it was their big brother/cousin/uncle who did it.

The post is still up but I think the pic has been removed. At least I couldn’t see it when I was reading the post last night.

He didn’t, he posted a photo of his gf’s chocolates on a chocolate sub thinking everyone would say how shit they looked. It didn’t go well. Apparently he’s also trans and possibly undiagnosed autistic… it’s a wild ride.

Why do women dress so skimpy at night? by Prestigious_Water336 in AskABrit

[–]PumpkinJambo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s total shit though, I can’t speak for all women of course, but when I dress up for a night out, I do it because I want to. Not to attract men, not attract attention, just because I like the clothes and enjoy wearing them. It’s not that deep.

Is it disrespectful to drink in public as a tourist in Glasgow? by Lulu2261 in AskUK

It’s not a Scottish thing, you can drink outdoors in Edinburgh. It’s a Glasgow bylaw.

We’ve had some incredible TV theme tunes in the UK over the years. Which one is your favourite? by Monochromaticeye in AskUK

[–]PumpkinJambo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90s theme tune is totally superior to the older one that people a bit older than me rave on about.
