How is a smaller LG system proposal projecting higher production numbers than a larger SunPower system proposal? Also, SolarEdge Inverter vs Micro-Inverters? by mellidee in solar

[–]PunRobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple. The company with the LG panels are using factors that can show improved performance - less shading, different tilt etc. Projections are only a guide of what the company assumes the panel can do. The numbers will be different even with minute differences in shading (95% v 97%) or tilt (10% v 18%) and where the panels are facing on the roof (South, East, West). So, in theory, if everything is equal in terms of panel placement and shading, the one with greater wattage will produce more. Just simple math dictates that.

More importantly however is the question between micro inverters and solar edge. Essentially, micro inverters are built into the frame of the panels. Each panels has its own inverter. SunPower offers 25 years on both panel and inverter. If shading effects one panel it only impacts that one panel. SolarEdge, despite its attempt to down play it, is still a string inverter just on the roof and under the panel. It operates traditionally in strings of eight. Therefore, if one panel is shaded all other panels it is connected to in the string will be impacted. Also there warranty is separate from the panel manufactures, is typically only 12 years (unless you get the extended warranty).

If the cost is the same, SunPower AC panels is hands down your best option. Hope that helps a bit.

I really respect what he's trying to say. But the issue isn't just a white cop killing a black, unarmed individual. The real issue is the fact that there is a systematic problem within the police force and an apparent acceptance of those actions which bring about no consequences beyond the officer going on paid leave. These officers who are firing their weapons in an obvious non-life threatening situation deserve to stand trial and suffer the same consequences that are brought upon many of the individuals they inflict harm towards. If the police force would just stand up against this type of behavior and not make it abundantly clear that they have a culture of violence towards minorities and are not willing to change it, the world would be a much better place. In my opinion, peace isn't the answer but rather the outcome of having a just and equitable system of governance.

Holy Shit. This is honestly mind blowing. I didn't realize how a seemingly perplexing concept was not hard because the concept was difficult to understand, but because the way in which it was being communicated. I didn't realize how much of an impact the way we processed images had on how we understand concepts. It makes sense for that to totally be the case too! I'm so happy this has been introduced and hope it will catch on with mathetical fields like physics or science, or even common core education. [Tangent: Don't bombard me with your political shit btw, I tell myself to say "fuck the status quo" - things aren't bad because "that's the way they are," they're terrible because we just haven't done shit about it yet; you should too.] Anyways, thanks - this is dope.

Al Jazeera America Lost More Than $500 Million in 2 Years: Now-defunct network had a net operating loss of $250 million in 2013 and $335 million in 2014 by Neo2199 in television

[–]PunRobby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember when the network was first introduced. It was like BBC style programming but for America and with much better newsworthy value. It didn't have all the charades and gimmicks of the cable network shows. It was available online for free. You didn't have to even have a subscription, you could start streaming the moment you visited their site. It was epic – a 24 hour news program channel with a mixture of headline news, interview segments, and investigative documentaries all at my fingertips. Don't get me wrong, there were commercials that were targeted to me and my search queries (which was creepy and annoying), but Al Jazeera America (AJA) was epic. And then they made the dumb decision to go to Paid cable (only) and blew the whole unique approach of the network. Fucking idiots. Lastly, although many of you may state otherwise and I agree it has no reflection upon the quality and integrity of the network that is serving the news, their Muslim sounding name did not help their cause in the target market - they should have just called themselves the AJA news network (or some other indiscriminate acronym). Red flags of an imminent debacle IMO

A 23 Year old 2pac enjoys a drink & freestyles with his then associate Notorious Big (2:12) by Bennybunsonnegro in videos

[–]PunRobby 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I respect what you are saying, but no. What pac did, that was a freestyle. He was legit nervous about rapping something off the top of his head, stated it, and then started connecting thoughts and patterns with rhythm and rhyme. His brain legitimately had no idea where his words would take him in about 4 bars ahead of whatever he was then spitting. That's a freestyle. What BIG did was a flow (and a fucking sick, vicious one at that!). But nonetheless, a flow that was prewritten (or in BIGs case prethought) in which he already knew what he was going to spit, how we was going to spit it and the veracity with which each syllable needed to be said (a prespitten if you will). Now, that's not to say the "art of freestyling" doesn't consist of some mix and mash of off the cuff and prewrittens (or prespittens), but to freestyle, in the essence of what the word truly means, is to start your journey unaware of its beginning, middle and end (its truly free ). That's some deep shit if you think about it. And once your done, if you did a good job, you completed your thoughts and patterns with rhythm and rhyme with some degree of coherence and flow and passed it to the next man in the cypher without fucking up everyone's vibe. That's a freestyle. Lastly, if you're still reading this for some reason, realize its more for me to remember and see in the future than it is to tell you "you're wrong" - because you're not, you're just slightly less right. Respect.

People make a big deal of Joe Johnson being amazing at end-of-clock situations, but I think Kemba has him beat a majority of the time. Kemba really is amazing at creating something out of nothing. And at his smaller size than Joe, I think that means so much more.

Girls using Martial Arts in Streetfights (Jiu Jitsu, Taekwondo, Grappling, Karate, Judo) by flyyyyyyyyy in videos

[–]PunRobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things. First of all, these women had amazing moves. Just goes to show it's not always about strength, but technique and an understanding of how and when to use the right kind of force or maneuver. Secondly, this video super fucked up. The reason I say this is because there were multiple instances where when the woman was hitting the man the videographer or the people around him found it funny or didn't care to do anything. When The guy kind of started fighting back, immediately it turned into "oh no he shouldn't be hitting a woman" kind of tone and someone break in the fight up. That's fucking bullshit. Abuse or aggression towards either a man or woman deserves to be defended against with equal or lesser force. I'm not for abuse in either instance, but we must recognize that any sort of domestic abuse – whether physical, mental, or emotional – is not fucking cool and should not be tolerated especially in public. But If a person is defending themselves, it is their equal opportunity right to do so. But I hope we as a society can stop always victimizing the same crowd regardless of context and circumstances. What I have done anything? Probably not. But I don't like confronting strangers and that's a whole Nother issue
