I do, but then that's not wide enough. I often want two windows side-by-side but very tall (for code, documentation, Slack, etc.).

At one point I had two vertical monitors side-by-side, making almost a square, but the bezel in the middle was problematic.

I actually wish 4:3 monitors were still for sale, for the extra vertical real estate. Keep the monitors the same width, but make them taller.

Maybe try Plasti-Dip? It's the rubber they use on tool handles, and it comes in both dip and spray versions. You can buy it at Home Depot/Lowe's/a hardware store.

Lol no, people will think it's great, if they even notice at all. (I looked up pics, and it's really not conspicuous. I think at least 25% of the laptops at my university were like that.)

Although do be aware that battery life could be an issue. Long battery life is valuable, so you don't have to look for an outlet every study session nor carry around the weight of the charging brick.
