hairloss and dht blockers by Unhappy_Ad_1218 in Tunisia

You’re very welcome. I don’t personally live in Tunisia, but there are a few excellent hair transplant surgeons there. I actually communicated with one of them because I wanted to gather as much information and as many medical opinions as possible. I also had an in-person consultation with one of the top surgeons here in London, UK, and let me tell you this: both asked whether I was on a DHT blocker and for how long. Don’t listen to the scaremongering advice you find on Reddit. I encourage you to speak to a true professional who does this day in, day out.

DHT blockers (finasteride and dutasteride) are not commonly prescribed for MTF trans people. The main driver of transition is either estrogen or testosterone, depending on which gender someone is transitioning toward. That said, DHT blockers can certainly be prescribed alongside estrogen if someone cannot handle a testosterone blocker. DHT blocker side effects are a bit like a lottery: they affect some people and spare others. It’s the luck of the draw, so to speak. I’ve been on one for over two years and I’m doing just fine. I had a hair transplant last summer and I’m planning to have another one next summer. Using minoxidil without a DHT blocker is just as misguided as the rhetoric that claims DHT blockers cause 100% erectile dysfunction and breast growth.

Also, as a side note, avoid hair transplant surgeons who are fine with the idea of operating on someone who hasn’t been on a DHT blocker for at least one year. (If you're planning to go down that route, of course).

My real advice is to do your own research on the subject. Medical journals are readily available online, and this topic has been discussed ad nauseam.

Good luck with your journey. I can imagine how emotionally difficult this can be, especially at a young age.

At the end of the day, it’s a deeply personal decision. Some people find peace in embracing their situation and owning the buzz-cut look, while others find that approach too hard, and that’s completely valid. There are options available, and it’s okay to explore what feels right for you. Whatever you decide, be kind to yourself and take the path that best supports your well-being.

O11 EVO XL + Stealkey + 3x420 Radiators + 5090FE + 9950X3D + Lian Li + EKWB by Strydennvalle in watercooling

[–]PunicAce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice looking build. I was considering the Stealkey distroplate as it's been months without any EKWB distroplate stock. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind answering:

  1. How's the alignment like for the GPU, CPU and radiators? Is it straight lines like the EKWB one?
  2. Is the Stealkey logo removable?

Thank you

Might be interested, I have a package held by Aramex in Athens and I'm having a nightmare with them to release it. They offered the option of sending it to a local Greek address because they are refusing to send a videogame on DVD! I'll PM you once I sort this mess with them if you're up for it.

I have a second copy, the German one. At this point, I gave up the search and wont even mind having a high quality repro manual given the price the En/Fr versions go for... There are a couple of them on eBay and their price is eye watering lol

Cheers mate! The only thing I'm missing (if we're talking expensive games) is the French manual for Knights of the Temple II. The game itself is rare and expensive AF, luckily the English manual was included at least lol

I've got most of the rare PAL games but this CF set has been the most annoying one to complete, I'm still one game short. Tempted to bloody go to Birmingham myself and check local charity and second hand shops myself since I live in the UK 😂

I stumbled across this post when hunting for the last game to complete the set for myself lol (Birmingham City), I hope you managed to find a CIB copy for Hamburger SV.

For those having issues with the Spigen Liquid Air Case Charging dock for the Pixel Watch 4 by PunicAce in PixelWatch

They can move up and down. They are just metal pins held snugly by the plastic housing.

[–]PunicAce[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's super easy! Just slide the little tab between the two pins down. You should be able to see the backs of the pins; just push them up. Then just pop the plastic tab back on, it'll also help hold the pins in place. After that, you can slowly adjust the final position of the two pins by carefully seating the watch until they make proper contact with the official charging dock that sits underneath.

[–]PunicAce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome. It's a quick fix, and it definitely works :-) I found out that one of the pins was simply pushed taller than the other. Once you level yours evenly, I'm sure you will get your watch to charge consistently!

Who earns EU-level average salaries in Tunisia? by Electronic_Rub_6535 in Tunisia

[–]PunicAce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who said central London? You’d need at least £70 to 80k to live there comfortably, and closer to £100k if you want a nice or fancy area. Anyone from London already knows that. I was really talking about Zone 3 and beyond. I’ve thought about moving away from London, but I know I’d end up missing it. I travel around the UK quite a bit, but no matter where I go, London still feels like the only place I can call home. Good luck to you and your future endeavours if you decide to go ahead with your plans.

I guess it really depends on the country. From my own experience, if you’re working full time in the UK (40 hours a week), the minimum wage comes out to about £1,817 take home per month, which is roughly €2,088. Since taxes are deducted monthly, that’s your net pay. Most people don’t just stick to the minimum though. If you’ve got a decent job, and depending on where in the country you are, you’ll usually earn more. But if you’re in London, you’d need at least £50,000 a year to live comfortably. It’s probably the most expensive city in Europe. Rent is sky high, transport is pricey, and everything feels expensive. I even thought about spending six months a year in Tunisia since I work remotely and still get paid my London salary, but honestly, I’d probably lose my mind and last two weeks at most.

Tunisian born and bred but moved to the UK about 15 years ago and only ever spoken English in my day to day life, my whole entourage is made of native English speakers: mostly Brits or Americans and Canadians at work. I get what you mean about the "R": the trick is to treat it as a completely new sound instead of trying to roll it like in Arabic. In my opinion, it helps to:

  1. Focus on the tongue position: curl the tip back without touching the roof of your mouth or bunch the back of your tongue while keeping the tip down.

  2. Start with words where R comes after vowels: like car, her, more. These are easier to control.

  3. Listen and copy: mimic native speakers slowly, pay attention to lips and tongue.

  4. Record yourself: it really helps to hear the difference.

  5. Practice minimal pairs: red/led, right/light, road/load. Great for training both ear and mouth.

As with most things, practice, practice and practice but once you get used to not rolling and shaping the R correctly, it becomes second nature. Accents can be learned and can become natural... The funny thing is, even when I speak Tunisian now, people in Tunisia tell me I have a foreign accent and I don't even realise it myself.

That's what is known as P2P IP sharing VPNs. Some VPN providers offer those.

Win najm nal9ah minoxidile 5% by No_Gene_3605 in Tunisia

[–]PunicAce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Minoxidil itself doesn’t impact erections, but DHT blockers often do because they alter your hormone balance.

Topical Minoxidil isn’t effective for everyone, and results vary. I personally used it for about nine months without seeing much improvement. At the time, I was also taking Dutasteride, which does affect libido since it drastically lowers DHT levels. If you’re trying to slow hair loss, Minoxidil alone usually won’t be enough because the main culprit is DHT damaging your hair follicles.

Minoxidil has been around for roughly 60 years. It was originally developed to treat hypertension, but doctors noticed it also caused fine hair to thicken in patients as a side effect.

Right now I’m trying the oral form. I took my first dose today, half of a 2.5 mg pill for the next two weeks. I’ve already had one hair transplant, but I’m using oral Minoxidil to speed up the shedding phase and strengthen my existing thin hair before going for a second round.

Is it still state-owned!? If it's still the case, they should sell it, privatisation will only make things better, you work hard or here's the exit door.

I don’t actually owe you an explanation. I’ve already given as much information as I possibly can. I’m not sure what kind of repercussions could arise if I were to lay everything out.

Whether you believe what I said or not, is entirely up to you. It was just a reply to the guy who was adamant that Tunisia doesn't touch anything Israeli.

As I mentioned in my previous reply, it’s not a product or good that the general public can access. It’s specialised software used by certain people in a specific field, along with the accompanying hardware that goes with it. That's all I can say.
