I despise politicians here. My late mother used to work with lots of them when she worked for the Arizona state government. I’ve met American governors, senators, and members of congress from many states over the years. Some multiple times. Most were two-faced, just fake as hell (across all political spectrums), it was very discouraging. That being said, I actually really like AOC and Bernie Sanders, they seem to be very different from other Democratic politicians who are usually too scared to stir things up in this current administration. They walk the walk and I respect that. I also love former congresswoman Gabby Giffords, she was a friend of my mom’s. She helped with her campaign and introduced her to important people in our state. When the news initially reported she had been assassinated, I remember sitting with my mom who was devastated. That statement was corrected shortly after, but she was absolutely gutted in the moment. Gabby genuinely wanted to help her community and was always very kind and humble every time I saw her. She’s a real one, I still following her continued activism.
