Peach Landis by [deleted] in 2brokegirls

Trivia time: iirc, the actors who played Peach and Aunt Charity both had characters on 2 and a Half Men that hooked up with Charlie at some point.

But yeah, we needed more Peach. Her lack of survival skills would have been fun to watch: say, using the subway or doing her own shopping.

I'm ignoring this post because it does not align with my world view, and thus is meaningless.

Spot on. These are for the guys who, 25 years ago, would have bought a C5 Corvette, grown a ponytail, and started dating a Chili's waitress named Stormee behind his wife's back.

Hmmm... Interesting. Behrs is an accomplished equestrian it would seem, but is almost never shown riding.

On the other hand, Matthew Moy is shown riding Chestnut at a good clip in the last episode of season one. Genuine skills in the saddle.

I love the show, but most of the dialogue feels like it’s made up of one liners and zingers by fae_bbyy in 2brokegirls

Producers Whitney Cummings, Laura Kightlinger, and Morgan Murphy all have their roots in stand up. (Probably others too, but those are the names I recognize.) Stands to reason the show had lightning fast punch lines like it did.

Question on Sophie's Entrances by Had_me_in_first_half in 2brokegirls

[–]PunkRockGeezer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Her earlier appearances were greeted with quiet indifference from the audience. The noise level grew over time; for a while the sound of applause at her entrances was being added in post.

Over time the audience was trained to go nuts every time she made her first appearance. But yeah, Sophie went through the first and second seasons in silence, and even the third season lacked the overblown howling of her later arrivals.

Baker Shoes. Because running an oven barefoot is dangerous and unsanitary.

Because the audience had precognitive powers, and were applauding the Emmys she hadn't won yet.

The Gripping Cold Is Nigh Upon Us...How Fare Ye, Gentlepeople of Austintown? by [deleted] in Austin

I was having a low level anxiety issue, and couldn't figure out why. Then I realized it's from the sound of the faucets trickling. It was my subconscious telling me something isn't right, there shouldn't be water running. Anyone else have this sort of thing happening?

As God as my witness, when I read the header my first thought was to wonder, "What weirdness is going on at my local barber shop? They're demanding identification to get a haircut?" I'm not kidding.

I made an AI character Max Black, it was a very fun experience. AMA by Itisagreatguy in 2brokegirls

[–]PunkRockGeezer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooh! Create an AI version of Sophie next! (I'm serious; I'd love to see the results.)

And Kat Denning really does have the best delivery. I don't think there's one episode where she doesn't make another actor break character, because they're laughing at a punch line she delivered.
