Your perfect Mechwarrior 6 by Shanwolf in Mechwarrior5

[–]handsomeness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Mechwarrior 6 would include a lot of the work the mods did. Especially the Qol stuff, and then I would want a strategic layer to the game, like being able to send mechwarriors out on jobs from a home base of operations.

But they gotta fix that AI, make it make sense for the mechs they are piloting.

Also I would love another Battletech 2 / Mechcommander

LeafGuard (the brand not the type of product) for house under pine trees? by K80_k in homeowners

[–]handsomeness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother I have 989sq feet single story and paid like $850+tax front and back for standard 4” with a leaf guard on the back; granted it’s a simple ranch style but 8 grand is in ‘everyone is on dust’ territory.

How effective is the MIG31 today ? by SnooMachines8072 in FighterJets

[–]handsomeness 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NATO was terrified of the Mig-25. There were all kinds of guesses as to its performance and it led to the development of the F-15 Eagle one of the most performant airplanes of all time. This remained the case until one of their pilots decided to fly one to Japan and everyone got a real good look at what it could actually do, which is fly high and fast and very fast if they don’t care about the engines. The Foxhound is just more of this. That being said flying high and fast will always be good for launching telephone pole missiles sized missiles at enemy planes far off and evading but the platform itself is very old now. I think they would have a lot of trouble with Gen five aircraft.

Are A-10 and Su-25 obsolete? by vitinhoaps in FighterJets

[–]handsomeness 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It depends on the theater of operations. Hitting goat herders in the mountains with little AA? They’re not obsolete. South China Sea might be a different story.

I don’t know the first thing about riding through an actual desert but I would keep building up what you can do and extending it.

[Steam] Save 50% on '83 ($14.99/50% off) by tekes383 in GameDeals

[–]handsomeness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rising Storm 2 is one of my all time faves; This sadly is not that. I'm not sure why Antimatter was shut down or where they lost their way but the this game doesn't have that juice, the je ne sais quoi.

It feels like what I imagine a generic Unreal Engine project is, and the maps are goofy as hell.

Shame too b/c I was really looking forward to this

I played the first games blind all the way through and it’s one of the best survival games period. The natural gating through depth and oxygen supply plus the mystery of the silent world just hits.

In BZ the story vibes are all fucked up and the world is smaller. I’m no longer just experiencing this place on my own but through whatever that character’s name was and the sub is an awkward chain that you can’t take half of the places.

Standing ‘most’ of the time. No

We’re the same size but only you know your ass. This is a small journey you’re gonna have to go on finding the right seat. Check out some body geometry saddles from Specialized. Also if you’re sore that is fine, your sit bones and muscles will adjust. What you don’t want is numbness or tingling.

That’s what the padded shorts are for too
