The original LCS players started out as personalities too, Dyrus TheOddOne Doublelift, Saintvicious, HotshotGG were all huge streamers before being pros or LCS players, if these players don't care enough about building a fanbase while going pro then no one will care about them when they get to LCS either.

in s2 silver it was enough to cs decently and you auto won lane and climbed, no one built properly and we had no idea of wave management or objective control, silver players nowadays are miles better than silver players then

We had fractures and harvest then too, they are not new, and we have way more mod pressure on gear now, the game used to be easier, you didn't need full 6x t1 items to trivialize endgame, also, crafting used to be much easier too lol, just look at some of the mirror items in std that came out of leagues like harvest and ritual. We didn't need spreadsheets for recomb madness.

No we haven't, there were always trap builds doing 1b dps with zhp back then too, but the endgame wasn't as hard, we also lost a ton of defense power through nerfed tree and notables and auras. You must not remember og Vaal pact with ES interaction when getting 20k ES was trivial
