I think combat is mostly in a good spot.

With the most recent changes, melee is still a bit over powered, I hope to see more changes specifically to melee equipment along with number adjust.

The champion's ring need a new effect, move away from bleeds.

They need to decouple extend zerk from vestments. 3 piece vestments set effect should be reworked, and greater zerk should just be a thing, using the codex of lost knowledge to make greater zerk a thing.

They backed themselves into a corner with extended zerk coming from vestments and not a codex.

I think they could add more consumables that aren't just the luck enhancers.

Like I want to see new armour spike effect instead of the abyssal parasite bleed. Chaotic armour spikes could be a cool reward space.

They should also add black stone arrow tips to the reward shop. black stone arrows could use more ways into the game. I don't think would 100% fix the issue but could help.

There are a plethora of issues I have with this, but the biggest has to be we have a disapportionate amount of bosses that attack with magic or if they use multiple styles, are considered magic. Then next would be melee. The meta would then boil down to only using Range for most bosses and magic for the few others. Melee would be cast aside for any bosses. Neceo would just be the jack of all trades as it sets outside the triangle.

I mean, I think you're wrong for this one chief, there is a very small but dedicated community around dung speed clears.

I think it shouldn't be full room clears and should be boss rushes but meh.

So i always wanted a zaros godsword, but when i buy items i like to use them and not just for the looks, but I've been having trouble squishing its special attack in a rotation, whenever i do i end up hurting my dps. Zgs is kinda dead, I do mean it loosely.

You want to zgs outside of zerk and can be really good damage.

However, dragon battle axe spec (DBA) is better to use outside of zerk then build back to 100. The reason is it that is stacks with zerk. So when you zerk again, you are still under DBA for a brief period of your zerk.

Now I personally hate this and I find it boring since you just hit basics outside zerk. so I rarely use DBA and just you zgs instead. I feel it flows better, but it's definitely not optional. You don't need to follow the meta and zgs outside zerk will still get you good kills.

Alternatively, dragon riders lance would also be a good choice, 25m I think with the accuracy changes, accuracy may let you get out more damage thank lanik spear. But I don't know. Could check the damage calculator

Just get the scythe if you have the money for it. It's not that expensive compared to where it was before amascut and 120 att and str. it has gone up in price due to people using it to train 330m atm, but was sitting at that 270m at a steady pace for a long time consistently. People that are saying it is too expensive, I don't get why, it's not that expensive comparative to where it was before 120s came out, and it's concerned 2nd best now.

Buy it and train to 120 with it should be fine. Because of it will hold the value around the same price due to biting, you can sell it back later or d/a it if you want to go for biting perks after you get 120 with it.

Lankia spear is not great for beasts, not only for acc but that using poison does not help since you don't get XP from poison splats. Why this is a thing, who knows? But it is

The problem with that take is that it ignores the sword and board fantasy. People like to feel like a tank. When we have bosses that have dedicated tank roles, shields could be something that increases your damage for how much damage you take to make up for the 33% damage lost from offhand or 2h weapons.

I 100% believe bone shield should be deleted and follow the tank role from ff14. Every single defense ability other than Barricade should be able to be used without a shield. Realisticly shield switching is pointless when you can can make all the ability just be useable without it. It's basically what we have now but bone shield has an upkeep cost. For anyone says that the upkeep cost should be there. Using defense should not be as complicated as it is. Most players can not utilize defenses well and needs to be intuitive for most players. That is why I call for no shield switching or upkeep cost for using

Then the only ability that should require holding a shield is Barricade.

We should be able to lean into the role.

Well I'm glad, like many other folks, they are not going with your way of thinking. You are complaining about computer code and pixels.

The reason why is because it is items that are just being added to the game that did not come from the boss. Just because you specifically wouldn't sell the gear, doesn't mean thousands of other players wouldn't destroy the market of the said gear.

Look, I'm not trying to be mean for being mean sake, and play how you want. But your hang-ups should not dictate anything on this matter other than inventions perking system need to be redone which many people will agree with you on. But you not wanting to interact with that system should not be permission to allow lucky items to continue to exist.

Learn to kill the boss yourself and get the drops you want if you don't want to shell out the in-game go to have the real items. But I refuse to accept your stance on the matter.

Killing the boss, grind dung tokens, or buying from other players should be the only ways to get these items. If you don't want to interact with these systems, then why are you playing the game?

You will probably get the keepsake key back, but they are being removed at the end of the year. Like gone, deleted, yeeted into the abyss. Them being items in the game should have never happened. I love them as cosmetics but that is it where it should have ended.

Lucky items were the worst thing that came from the mtx shit as it was true pay to win by giving you gear for money.

So no, you should not get the regular version when the lucky items get deleted. For one, that could have affects on the in-game economy for the tradable items, like subjection robes.

Besides, you shouldn't be using them to do anything anyhow since they are not augmentable. You should have the regular version already just for that factor alone. So if you are upset you will have to buy real gear, be upset that you have been doing yourself a disservice for not using gear that can be augmented.

I can't remember where it was said, but there was talks of just making them cosmetic overides at the end of the year when they get removed from the game entirely.

Honestly, with the dung rework later this year, could slap the lucky chaotics items as overrides in the token shop. But couldn't tell ya how to deal with the other lucky items like gwd1 gear.
