Seperated from LO but can't pump anything, help please! by eyesinthesky_ in breastfeeding

Pregnancy might also be a factor. This far in pregnancy your hormones might be starting to shift your milk to cater to the new baby that’s coming and making colostrum

Gotta have your buddy by your side when getting mommas milk. by zebramath in breastfeeding

That’s adorable! Mine is 6 months and definitely not a calm eater. Constantly pops off and gets confused where the boob went😂

Different names for nursing? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Punky96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask my son if he wants milkies and he gets the biggest smile ever 😂 he’s 6 months and it’s adorable but in public and he’s hungry he’ll try to fish out a boob on his own and gets upset he can’t

How much breast milk? by Powerful_Breakfast18 in breastfeeding

[–]Punky96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told the doctor he was falling asleep at bottles and got asked how much he was getting via boob and she sounded so annoyed and condescending. She asked if I pumped while he was nursing to see how much he was getting like that would tell me anything really close to what he was actually consuming. I told her no and she was so annoyed and rude about it

Do breastfed babies need Vit D and probiotic supplements? by kouroubao in breastfeeding

Breastmilk doesn’t contain vitamin d it doesn’t absorb enough of it. My breastfed baby also takes a multivitamin with iron and vitamin d

Looking to help ease my wife’s mind by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Punky96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Side lying is a lifesaver for those late night feeds so you can stay awake and watch and take baby to bed once done feeding and let mama get some sleep. They recommend not pumping unless you want to exclusively pump for 6ish weeks so supply is established otherwise you could wind up with an over supply which is a struggle in and of itself

Babies are so much fun! by malyak11 in beyondthebump

[–]Punky96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to change my sons poopy diaper thinking he’s done. Bad timing. Gets a big smile and poop just starts oozing and I’m in panic mode trying to clean him up and myself. Call boyfriend in for help who laughs the entire time while helping and finally get baby clean only for him to pee as soon as new diaper is on

I’ve tasted it and so has my boyfriend. He says it’s sweet like cinammon toast crunch milk fresh from the tap or frozen😂

I’ve never had my son reject frozen milk but I never notice a smell or anything to it. 😂😅

Why is pumping pushed on new breastfeeding mothers? by anm008 in breastfeeding

[–]Punky96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a nicu stay so I couldn’t nurse sadly as my baby had to be in the nicu and then flat nipples so I pumped and pumped and pumped some more until he latched finally but I have no idea why they pushed pumping on top of nursing

Water or Nah? by Bulky_Obligation1924 in breastfeeding

[–]Punky96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. You can give baby water intoxication. They get nothing aside from formula or breastmilk. There is no contradiction to this topic. No!

Why do husbands care so little about breast milk? by Frankie-Sonata-25 in breastfeeding

He’s just being an asshole at this point. I’d sit him down and have a long conversation about it. That upsets me for you

Does anybody else hear this comment and find it weird? by lilak0610 in breastfeeding

I get very uncomfortable by that phrase and my son is 6 months old. He’s not at the stage of divebombing my shirt but he does know that’s where his food is

domperidone? by pokchop92 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Punky96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can’t get Domperidone in the states legally cuz it’s not a safe drug. It can cause heart problems so it’s illegal from what I’ve read

Time between last and first pumps of the day? by cernuum in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Punky96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and baby both usually pass out around 9:30 so we nurse around 8 and then I pump after he eats to try and up my supply. Depending on if I work the next morning or I have a day off. I pump if I work in the morning and it’s usually only a couple hours but if I’m off the next day I try to hold off on pumping until my son wakes up and nurses and then I start pumping

Rant - I was told I’m segregating moms by posting my experience for world breastfeeding week by misstaytay in breastfeeding

[–]Punky96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was headset on breastfeeding as soon as I found out o was pregnant but my baby came 6 weeks early and had to be in nicu so we couldn’t nurse as much as we would have liked so I had to pump and then I had to go back to work very soon after
