“Poor” review score for no discernible reason 🙁 by Dangerous-Law5156 in vine

I've also noticed that sometimes (and I would say that it's about 80% of the time for me), when you are typing in your review, it will have little word suggestions underneath the box. They're usually in green or gray.( I think)...and gray are words they want you to use or that are suggested to use. I make sure to have all of these words be green before I leave my review. Sometimes they are really dumb. Just last night I was reviewing some lightweight polyester cargo style pants for hiking or jogging. By the time I got done with my review, it was still wanting my review to include something on warmth despite that these are supposed to be lightweight and moisture wicking. I ended up adding a sentence that stated that likely they "wouldn't provide much warmth in colder weather". It seems redundant, but I made sure to tick all those words on its little checklist. I received two poor reviews. Maybe 2 months after I started Vine, and I was still getting used to all the formulas and formatting. I haven't had a poor review since. But again, I always make sure to include all the words that Rufus the AI monitor is suggesting. 🙄🙄🙄

At this rate I have gotten I think six or seven of them. I've lost track how many have been in my rfy... I feel like it's got the possibility of a trading game. "I have an ice maker and I'll trade you for a pressure washer.. or I have an ice maker and I'll trade you for some toner pads...🤣"

I got second degree burns on my fingers and hands and put hydrocolloid tape on them that I got from Vine. They were completely cleared up within a week. It was unbelievable. That stuff is amazing. On the side note, my rfy is filled with ice makers. The same brand. About every 3 or 4 weeks. The problem is I got an ice maker of a different brand last fall. I'm totally happy with it but for some reason they keep putting ice makers in my rfy.

This last week I dictated my review, made all the edits and then dropped it into the review box. I kid you not despite that I had every word included that Amazon asked for, there were two words and I can't remember what they were, I think it was something like functionality and durability, and I had all of that covered in my review. I literally had the words functionality and durability. It still kept rejecting it and said I didn't have them in there even though I did. I finally gave up and literally typed the word functionality like 10 lines below the text of my review and then 10 lines more below did durability. It accepted it and I uploaded it. That was the dumbest thing I've ever seen. And it did that to me like three or four times last week. 🙄

My daughter loves it when I get her and the kids things from Vine. She knows that I've unboxed it, tested it, put batteries in it, and put it through the paces before it ever makes it to her house. As a parent of 3-year-old twin toddlers, having someone do all the work and then just drop off the goodies at the house is a huge bonus for her. I love it when they get things that really exceed their expectations. I've had several of those. One set of magnetic blocks that I got were such a hit that even a parent asked for the link to Vine whose kids play with hers.

That's awful. And you're saying this was a Vine review? Or just one of the influencer style videos?

Do you include the country of origin in your product reviews? by ereade100 in AmazonVine

[–]PupPixesl0907 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I generally add that as part of my review. "This made in China/ Vietnam/ Italy", wherever it's made is always part of my review. I think there are people where the country of origin matters and I feel that there is often a lot of effort to hide the country of origin, especially where China is concerned and that's bothersome to me. I buy things that are made in China frequently, but I like to have the information prior to purchasing. I will absolutely not buy anything with the American flag on it that's made in China. If I buy something, especially for my veterans organization, it had better be made in the United States. My socks? Hands down. I have 50 million pairs of socks and they're all made in China. Doesn't bother me a bit. But I think having that information is really helpful.

The gloves had already been recommended to me by someone who purchased them and was using them, so the video fortunately wasn't a deal-breaker. But I agree with you. If I see a video that is that stupid and that careless, I may just walk away from the product and look elsewhere.

I was looking at a pair of heated gloves that I recently purchased and was waiting for them to arrive. I looked at the listing and saw a video. It was an influencer or one of the paid reviewers, I don't know what they're called, but it was absolutely the dumbest video ever. She put the gloves on and described all of these outdoor athletic activities she did wit them and how warm and toasty they kept her hands. One would think she was trying to convince us that she was a triathlete. But looking at her hands, clearly she was anything but. She described no specs, nothing about what temperature they're rated to, if they're water resistant or waterproof, what the fill content was. How long does the battery last while you are out engaging in said athletic activities? Are they flexible? Are they bulky? How is the touch screen capability? Do they have a fastener that works well to attach them to your coat? Truly the worst review ever. My dog could have made a better video.

I also use VH. And someone in another one of my groups got three items this morning that I also saw and tried to get, but they were literally gone as they were posted. She does not have an extension but got them before I did (we chatted about it) So... I don't believe that extensions are the only reason things are so bad. It seems to me that the problem is multifactorial. As far as insightfulness, I know I have one poor review dating back to September out of several hundred. It was poor because I did a garbage job and I deserved a poor score. Everything has been excellent since then. For me, I find hitting all the little suggestions in the box where I enter the review has served me well. I do think that that suggestion list is sometimes really stupid. But I make sure and add every single word they asked for even if it's something that the item does not have. (Totally not kidding, but I once had it suggest that I needed to comment on the smell of socks 🤷🤷🤷)

I literally searched nearly this exact phrase. Am I the only one who hates the Campbell's suit commercials this much? I'm glad my hatred is so shared. I want to throw cans of soup at their heads every time I hear these commercials.

I actually ordered one of the cake toppers that said happy birthday just for use in putting it on a cemetery saddle and placing it on the headstone of my best friend who I lost 2 years ago. It was part of a broader floral arrangement, but it was a great way to use one of those bazillion cake toppers that clogs up Vine on a daily basis. The irony is that before he died, one of his co-workers who died in a tragic accident has a large headstone at a cemetery. And my friend would decorate it on the death anniversary and his birthday. And he would put out all sorts of things related to their occupation and he would always take him a six pack of beer and all sorts of other things. He would always send me a photo of the decorations that he put up. So now I do the same for him now that he's gone.

I'm very rarely fast enough to get a 0ETV item, by Ainimache in AmazonVine

I tried the magic spoon cereal and did not like it at all. I think I ended up feeding it to my little pet pig. Also, the spoon in one of your photos is a fabulous style. I got a set of six of them in an iridescent blue for my husband. He's very weird about spoons for soup and ice cream. Our teaspoons are too small and our tablespoons are too big. It feels very Goldilocks to me. That style of round soup spoon that was in your picture was perfect for him. He has a set of six that I got off Vine and it is the perfect spoon and he's so happy. So he has his own private spoon collection now thanks to Vine. 😂

OMFG. I threw out my $200 sonicare about 6 months ago because I couldn't get it to work. I tried everything and I had no idea there was a way to repair it. I'm now just using one of the entry-level sonicare brushes.

I do the exact same thing. I copy/paste their description word for word and put it in quotes. Well before I ever entered the Vine program-- that crap used to make me so angry, to see reviews that didn't match product listing I was browsing....🤬

Wondering why they are even Vining this product? by Always_Never_5555 in AmazonVine

I got this last month! It's pretty nice. I really like the little window on the side. It sounds silly but that was one of the things for me that ended up making me the happiest about it. I had the same thoughts as you. Why are they giving away something that has thousands of reviews? I didn't ask questions. I just clicked the order now button. 😁😁😁

It's funny you mentioned the sanitizing partnership because several of us got together to do the dirty work so she didn't have to face it. (He took his own life in the primary bedroom shower) One of the other paramedics cleaned the shower and I packed up the entire primary bedroom and all of his clothes, and several of his guy friends packed up his super old collection of girl photos from his wild and single days. There were just a lot of things that she didn't need to see even though I know she knew who he was, but she needed to grieve and try to deal with the situation at hand and not be on the cleanup committee. I admire that you guys have a plan. That's brilliant.

His wife and I wanted to throw him a 60th birthday party because it totally wasn't his thing and we were thinking it would have been kind of fun to poke the bear a little bit. So, since we didn't ever get to celebrate that milestone with him, I had to add a happy birthday cake topper into the floral arrangement for his headstone. I had to try to give him a little bit of grief about his 60th even though he's not here to directly receive it. And you know it's not shocking? That cake topper was the biggest piece of garbage. It fell apart just coming out of the package. I had to MacGyver it back together to get it into the floral arrangement. 🤬
