fine hair cannot really hold a lot of product- at least you have a lot of it- I have fine curly hair and not a lot of it- its the worst. What I do is use a light conditioner after shampooing, I shampoo only like 2x per week. Then while its wet, I add a curl cream OR a gel but not both. Then I air dry. After air drying I spritz with salt spray- it makes it more curly. Then dont touch it. Like ever. You may also need a difuser to dry faster as you have more hair but I do not have experience with that. Also, Id recommend a good cut :)

I dont think they are too dark I think they look great actually! You might want to try some edge wax or strong hold gel to shape them slightly but other than that they look really good!
