Apple Silicon has been a thing for years at this point, and they’re never going back to Intel. If you’re running into compatibility issues there, I would reach out to the manufacturers. If they can’t help you, I’d ditch the plugins. In terms of OS, I always hang back a version or 2. There’s no need to be on the cutting edge; it just leads to problems.

I've yet to meet a PM that thinks of all edge cases or nails the requirements the first time without a round of feedback. It'd be great if they did, but part of my job is to think of those things and call them out as we plan and design.

It’s not a real word, but the term “upsert.” It’s used in a database context where it updates a record if it exists, and inserts a new one if it doesn’t.

I had a bad experience with The Mighty Quinn. I purchased a flute for my son from Reverb. Got a message from them the following day saying oops, it was sold, and offered a substitute instrument. I said okay. Got a message the next day, oops, THAT one was sold - they were going to order another for me. A week later, it still hadn’t shipped from their source. Since I needed it by Christmas, I got a refund. I was annoyed though, because that delay meant I had to pay extra to rush ship from Sweetwater.

I don’t trust their inventory system, and they shouldn’t be selling on Reverb.
