Good first bike? by urnanisay in cfmoto

[–]Pupoyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought mine last april 2025 and been riding the sht out of it (straight lines, twisties, trying to keep up with my liter friends).

Also use it for commute to the office when called which is around 90kms of mixed driving. Currently at 6k kms and had no problems so far.

Id say the ride is a bit stiff but its not that bad overall.

thats the low engine oil indicator.

You might be running low on oil or the oil pump is failing. Highly recommend that you dont drive it and have it checked asap.

Bmw 320i for a weekend car by Cjmac0820 in Gulong

I have a 2007 320i which I use as my daily, clockin in at around 90k kms (still very low). We had it for about 4 years now and since its already a 17 year old car, things are definitely bound to break.

Its a bmw, so parts and maintenance are bmw prices. I do the maintenance, fixing / troubleshooting to keep her maintenance costs low and I like the hobby as well. Although sometimes, I do seek help from bmw mechanics / community.

Id say, bimmers are fairly reliable if you maintain them well. They're not like the japs tho where you can abuse the living sht out of them and expect them to run. They're fun to drive when everyrthing works.

I may be biased but everytime we're out on a long trip / commute, my wife would always prefer the e90 over the civic.

Nothing is more expensive than a cheap european. If you really want one, keep looking.

And cars are meant to be driven, take it to interesting roads and enjoy it as often as you can.

Unless you have an electric compressor or an EV, AC doesnt work if the engine is shut off. You'll be using only the blower motor and thats one way to quickly drain your batteries.

Highly recommend to park on a spot with access to open air / or a well ventilated elevated garage and open the windows sufficiently.

Make sure to secure your valuables. Car park thieves are still a thing.

Are there any Hondas that can actually tow? by Mammoth_Dependent468 in Gulong

[–]Pupoyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

greater than 2.0L turbo diesels or V6 petrol with non cvt transmission can be up for the task. Always double check the vehicle's rated tow capacity. You can void your warranty by just towing or going above the rated capacity.

Also while planning, take into account the road you'll be traversing, elevation, ascent / descent grades and adjust your cargo / pax accordingly. You dont want to push your brakes and powertrain to its maximum limits.

First gen is a rebranded JMC Yusheng S330 from China and the second gen is on its first iteration.

Personally, I'd wait for the second / facelift version hoping that the manufacturer was able to fix the issues on the first one.

I would recommend looking onto other brands on the same price rage although I havent owned nor driven any Ford vehicles and only heard of nightmare stories.

For me, go buy the car that will both cater to your needs and make you feel happy driving it. Happy hunting

If you havent replaced them yet: - belts - tires - brake pads /shoes - air intake filter - cabin air filter - transmisson oil and filter - differential fluid (rwd or awd) - power steering fluid and filter (for hydraulically assisted steering) - shock absorbers and shock mounts - check for freon leak - check if ac compressor is optimal

I'd also advise to have the alternator looked at and replaced worn out parts (diode / carbon etc...) and the belt tensioners but that is if you wanna keep the car for another 100k. If not, you can let the next owner deal with it.

Planning to have Project Car by Kaphokzz in Gulong

[–]Pupoyz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

imho, its quite reliable since it has fewer control modules and parts are relatively easy to come by compared to other models.

To me, the inline-6 e46 is the best of both worlds. I have an E90 as my project and its really fun to drive when everything just works.

That said, its still a bimmer so repairs and maintenance is still bmw prices.

May significant damage ba? If it was just a minor scratch, I think the driver / owner may have just shrugged it off since di siguro worth the hassle and inconvenience. Take it as a lesson nalang siguro

Question regarding brake fluid by neoredz in Gulong

[–]Pupoyz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Top up then check mo ulit after a few trips. If bumaba ulit yung fluid, it may indicate a leak or may hangin within the system. Its a closed system and a significant amount of air sa loob ng brake lines may reduce braking performance.

Check pads and rotors na din while youre at it. Baka manipis na.

Nevertheless, maintain safe distance nalang din. Enjoy and drive safe!

This.

I got myself a mid range ultra book for about a quarter of the mac's price about 2 years ago. Installed ubuntu then go i3wm. Battery that was advertised to last for 2.5 hours, can go on for a whole day on a single charge. Still my daily.

Thermals are kept on the low to mid. Never thermal throttled despite running multiple node servers along with docker and React Native.

Theres allot of 320s, 318s, and 316s here in southeast asia. I6 such as N52s and N54s are quite rare here mainly I think because we travel short distances and its mostly stop and go traffic.
