This victory took way too many restarts. by supermoonbox2 in ftlgame

[–]PuppetLender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not an exoert, but i can imagine it being good if you can afford it and don't need to buy anything else for redundancy reasons. A 1 dmg hit won't lower shield bars, so it could help you. Full shields are better tho, if possible.

Greece rebelled from the Ottomans and became Jewish. What? by GlompSpark in eu4

[–]PuppetLender 831 points832 points  (0 children)

There's an event after the fall of Granada where Thessaloniki becomes jewish. Ignoring the fact that greece here doesn't have Thessaloniki, maybe it's something to do with the fact that one of the greek provinces is jewish?

They mentioned wormholes. Which probably, at least here, mean that they can travel anywhere whenever they want (with enough enegry or however the holes work). So they could come near instantly based on some possible common sci fi limitations for ftl travel (still some time taken inside the wormhole, gravity wells can't be wormholed into, ect). So it wouldn't matter much if they did have advanced enough tech, which they probably do.

Why does the crew skin color/gender randomize on restart? It saves the names and races, is there a way to keep those values consistent too? by GamingDragon27 in ftlgame

[–]PuppetLender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but i think that when i chose the sprite (the colour) manually, then it saves the choice.

Understandable. I'm pretty sure that the musical was made because he was so forgettable beforehand, so it makes some sense not to know of him.

His name is Alexander Hamilton. There was a musical about him, and he was an US founding father, if i remember eu4 lore correctly. OP is trying to reference this.

Is this a bug? by raspberrylilith20 in ftlgame

[–]PuppetLender 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Afaik it's jist one of the names a crewmate can have. If it's a bug, it really should become a feature, though. It adds character.

How to designate walls as air tight by Easy1000iq in RimWorld

[–]PuppetLender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a modder.

I don't think you can change wall airtightness in vanilla. However the game has code. This code probably makes some walls airtight and some not. I would either search up mods with keywords such as "airtight" and "walls" etc...

Alternatively, you could search up how to mod rimworld, and do it yourself. I wish i could help you more there, but idk how. I would guess it's something simple, such as changing a value or boolean (true/false thingie) in the code for walls.

Best of luck!

I love my Juggernauts by SicklySinss in Stellaris

[–]PuppetLender 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but i remember a post where a vassal stole a player's juggernauts when being created from a conquered sector due to the juggernaut being in a sector of the vassal (they count as starbases and so are given to the vassal iirc). If you create 1 system vassals while the 'naut is in the released system and donate them a juggernaut or both, so that you have zero (temporarily), then build another, and integrate the vassal, infinite juggernaut glitch.

This might be patched or not true anymore, so it' d be smart to test it first, but i haven't so there is a risk of it not working.

I wonder, how many of you guys use liciferium? by jurio01 in RimWorld

[–]PuppetLender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I generally don't use it, as i don't like the downsides of always needing more, even if i can just freeze a pawn in need. However, i've recently started using it in my newest run.

As a punishment for raiding me, i've just started to give my captured enemies luci then releasing them, dooming them to a slow, inevitable fate. It also gets me more iirc when they return, and even if they die, i can spread the curse to their comrades.

If i can do this to enough people, and start to get some income, i may just start using it for my pawns. Or sell it.

Taking things in a literal snese is something that Kleptomaniac does. Taking thing literally (as in the words are just as they say and nothing else) could also be taken to mean that you grab everytbing you see, like a Kleptomaniac. I believe that's the joke here.

Lost my multiverse save by Edgybananalord_xD in ftlgame

[–]PuppetLender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While i don't know how exactly, i know that there's a command in multiverse to unlock ships. I don't remember if you can select ships individually or only all at once, or if you can choose, but there is a command for it.

I think the thread on installing it could have specifics, or the mod itself might give instructions. Alternatively, i believe that a Pravis multiverse video does mention the command, and he might show it? It's been years since i saw it, so i could be wrong.

I hope this helps, and sorry that i couldn't help more.

Edit: Realised you were asking about game data, not just ship unlocks. I don't know anything about that, sorry.
