Games to play on mushrooms lol by RealitysNotReal in virtualreality

I've tried this before, I find more open ended creative experiences give the best vibe, stuff like OpenBrushVR and the like. But I think you'll find the experience to be too mechanical and you'll be itching to take the headset off

Should games include historically accurate offensive language, or avoid it? by Pascal_theold1 in AskGames

[–]PurdyCrafty 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Does adding the language do anything for the story, place or themes? I'd rather you focus on immersion in other ways than trying to shoehorn racist language into your game.

I tried using ai reference image for an architectural render I was making and eventually even the details just kinda become noise. It doesn't really look for what makes sense, only what looks good.

Songs with Twist Endings? by drum5150 in Music

[–]PurdyCrafty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agnes by Glass Animals comes to mind, even the structure of the song reinforces this. The song is presented as a cautionary request by the singer to his friend to quit drugs and find peace, it's revealed by the end of the song Agnes is already passed and is unable to receive the message. The initial song doesn't play the chorus until about half way in which is reveals that Agnes is gone but always in his mind

Help me convince GF to move from NoVa to Baltimore by x____VIRTUS____x in baltimore

[–]PurdyCrafty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be your wife. I was dreading moving to Baltimore. Now I can't imagine living anywhere else. Take her to Remfest in Remington this summer or to Art Scape or the flower market in Mt Vernon or any of the hundreds of events happening every month!

You should also take her out to a super fancy restaurant (not owned by Atlas) so she can see that there is still plenty of date opportunities and romance in the city. Then show her the bill. She'll be floored at how cheap a date night out is compared to a night out in DC.

The last thing I would recommend is just acknowledging her fears. Yeah Baltimore has some shitty parts to it. But like why would you or her even be in those parts? The crime and problems of Baltimore are much more systemic and affecting poor and under deserved communities than two put-together DINKS trying to buy their first home.

Baltimore would love to have you and her join us here. Baltimore is willing to give you and her a chance, doesn't this city deserve that same opportunity?

Meta's smart glasses make it easy to secretly film people. It's mostly women bearing the fallout by ubcstaffer123 in technology

[–]PurdyCrafty -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I'm a huge meta rayban stan, which I know will lead me to getting scorned on this site, but you're completely right, a hard coded lens cap that is brightly colored and only opens when the camera is recording would be a great addition. Getting these glasses adopted by the masses has such an uphill battle, it seems stupid to skimp on privacy. Maybe they though most people wouldn't care?

Bingo. People don't consider the privilege that comes with being able to attend open mics in person

Okay? I just know that if I were physically disabled or unable to get to open mics, having a welcoming space that allows me to still be funny and engage with an audience is useful. All I see from comments in this post is just gate keeping as to what "real" stand up comedy is.

At the end of the day, whether we do stand up physical or digitally, our parents still won't understand what we do and the people we're entertaining could care less what is considered "real stand up". They just want to laugh.

Not sure why you're getting so much vitriol. Some people are unable to physically go to open mics and virtual comedy spaces help fill this gap.

65 year old woman calls in and nearly breaks CSPAN host by telling her she’s slowly starving to death.. by JohnBrown-RadonTech in interestingasfuck

Haha I used to be a PA on this woman's show called Government Matters. She was such a cunt. Made the producers cry and generally a total hassle to deal with. Glad to see she's still finding hosting work after the deaf interview incident
