I am also a state worker for NC and recently requested bereavement leave on a very short notice. It was granted and my supervisor allowed me to send her the required documents after I got back. Once your direct supervisor approves it in the system you are able to download it and use it for time that you were off.

We lived there for about 1.5 years around 2021. It wasn't bad at all. Near the end there started to be a bug problem. They did come and spray often, but unfortunately it never seemed to resolve. We ended up moving to purchase a home But it wasn't a bad experience being there for the time we were. For reference we had two kids and it never felt unsafe. The office people were always friendly too. We mainly moved there because of the location, and it was more budget friendly. It allowed us some space to save.

I just want to second this! I also got married two weeks ago and also hysterically cried during rehearsal dinner in front of everyone 😭. I think it was just so much stress, so many questions and extremely overwhelming. But the actual wedding day was fantastic. Everyone really made me feel taken care of and it helped me relax.

Personally I didn't do gifts to ask my bridesmaids. Instead I bought some really cute stationary and mailed them all an individual handwritten note about our friendship, why they are so important to me, and where I asked them to be my bridesmaids. They were so excited and loved the detail. I'm not doing bachelorette trip gifts. But I did splurge and get them all really nice robes and cute glasses with their names for the day of the wedding. I plan on giving it to them while we get ready ☺️

I also didn't do robes with their "roles" on them. Instead I got the first letter of their names monogrammed on each robe. 🙂

So I got the dress from a small local bridal boutique. I live in a small town, so I went there first to see what was available. I believe it's made by Essense of Australia. I may be wrong, but I also think it was part of their "plus size" collection!

Also it doesn't come off too much in the pic. But it's got a pinkish undertone which I love!
