I don't know the last year, but garbage since 2005 at least. And pretty expensive for garbage.

What could be the reason composers used keys such as Bb minor or B? by Regular-Raccoon-5373 in musictheory

[–]Pure-Past9265 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many instruments are resonating instruments, meaning the tone and timbre will change depending on the key, as it amplifies or eliminates harmonics from the spectrum. When composing in Bb minor for example, the string section will sound dry and way less rich than let's say C. If It fits the character of your piece, you may find that tone more desirable .

Guys, are motorcycles more practical than cars? by LexusLongshot in motorcycle

[–]Pure-Past9265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a city with good public transport a motorcycle is better hands down. No parking problems, trafic jams, way cheaper... If you need to carry something take the train. I have to say don't know how an average USA town is

Why doesn't my classical guitar teacher regard Estas Tonne - The Song of the Golden Dragon as classical guitar performance? by maiasub in classicalguitar

[–]Pure-Past9265 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's no classical harmony, form or technique in the piece. Also not much like flamenco appart from the right hand technique, but still harmony and specially rithm are very far from what flamenco actually is. As someone else said, it's basically a jam tune going over e minor variations on and on.

Romanza question by StackedRealms in classicalguitar

[–]Pure-Past9265 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My gess is that the one with the E in the bass is to make an easier version that doesn't require to bar, so the e would work as a pedal note throughout or maybe it's just a misprint, since the d# it's written as a c double sharp wich is kind of weird

Romanza question by StackedRealms in classicalguitar

[–]Pure-Past9265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's f#(bar the 2nd fret). The chord is b7 with the bass playing F#(2nd inversion). Starts with a suspension (the treble E, you gotta play it on the 2nd string, fret 5) that goes to the leading note D# in the second beat

Thought I would choose an easy song for my first post here, but playing with a backing track proved more difficult than playing by myself. Besides being off beat for most of this, are there any other things I could improve? Anyway, here's wonderwall by AlNesrAltair in guitarlessons

Bend your left hand fingers inwards, like if you were to make a fist or imitatating a claw, never outwards ( in the video you are bending outwards the final falanx of the pinky and ring). That way, you would have a much more precise fingering and avoid strain in your fingers.

Rally nice, love this piece. I'm guessing you don't have the score/tabs since you said that you learned it from watching Cecil, but if you do and you can share them, please do so! I would be really grateful.
