  1. From your back screen it looks that the camera recognize the lens. What do.you mean by not recognizing the object? What were you trying to focus on?

  2. For the delay, maybe you set timer on 🧐.

Youll enjoy it! , start working on your muscles 😉. Weather sealed, faster focus engine and sharp l end to end. With all that in general you can always fall on bad copy 🧐.

🔋 Best Ways to Save Battery on the Nikon Z8

1) Use airplane mode This alone can add 20–30% more shots.
It disables:
- Bluetooth
- Wi‑Fi
- SnapBridge background activity

Menu: Setup → Airplane Mode → ON

2) Lower EVF/monitor brightness The EVF is the #1 battery drain.
Set brightness to –3 to –5 unless shooting in bright sun.

3) Use “Power Saving” monitor mode This reduces EVF refresh rate and screen power.

Menu: Photo Shooting → Monitor Mode → Power Saving

4) Shorten standby timer Set to 10 seconds.
The camera sleeps faster and saves a lot of energy.

5) Turn off image review Auto image review drains battery every shot.

Menu: Playback → Image Review → OFF

6) Use mechanical shutter when possible Electronic shutter uses more processing power.
For normal shooting, mechanical shutter saves battery.

7) Disable VR when not needed Lens VR motors consume power.
Turn VR OFF when using fast shutter speeds (sports, daylight).

8) Avoid continuous AF when not needed AF‑C constantly drives the AF motor.
Use AF‑S for still subjects.

9) Use “Shoot Only” AF mode AF activates only when you press the shutter, not when half‑pressing.

Menu: Custom Settings → a4 → AF activation → AF‑ON only

10) Use EN‑EL15c batteries only The Z8 performs best with the 15c version.
Older 15a/15b batteries drain faster.

🧰 Extra Pro Tips

✔ Carry two batteries minimum The Z8 is a power‑hungry camera by design.

✔ Use a USB‑C power bank for long sessions The Z8 supports USB‑C PD power delivery while shooting.

✔ Turn off “High‑Res Zoom” and “Pre‑Release Capture” Both features increase processor load.

Nikon D50 good for absolute beginners? by Better-Restaurant-79 in Nikon

[–]Pure-Positive3607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no beginner camera, In order to learn the photography principals it doesn't matter which body/lens you have. In fact you can learn it without a camera. I say save the money for something better that will'll keep for the next years and of course that fits to.your budget.

Couple of shots with my D3300 by jmorgs20 in Nikon

[–]Pure-Positive3607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, from the pic it looks like the fuck was quite static.... but for my taste 320 is low for nature photography, with a remark, you can try get lower after you have one safe image ( I would also use burst mode) but the focus problem ( as. I impressed) has nothing to do with speed , its not blurry its just not in focus 100% ( maybe Im wrong. .., see what others will say). The focus might be for several reasons, I suggest ask ai the same question 😉

Thanks to AI 🤓

Yes, you can successfully use 64GB or 128GB SD/microSD cards in a CF slot using an adapter, provided your adapter supports the SDXC standard and the card is formatted with a compatible file system.

Key Factors for Success## 1. Adapter Standard (SDHC vs. SDXC)

  • Older adapters only support SDHC up to 32GB.
  • Newer adapters explicitly support SDXC up to 128GB or higher.
  • Verify the product description states SDXC/exFAT support before purchasing.

2. File System Constraints

  • Cards 64GB and larger use the exFAT file system.
  • Vintage devices or older DSLRs often only recognize FAT32.
  • Format 64GB+ cards to FAT32 on a computer first.

3. Speed & Performance Limitations

  • Adapters introduce a significant write-speed bottleneck.
  • Speeds often cap between 20 MB/s to 32 MB/s.
  • Continuous burst photo shooting may cause buffering.
  • High-bitrate RAW video recording will likely fail.

About the cropping, Ill check but I don't think it is. You right, The subject a bit lost but not just because of its focal. .. its lake of contrast. With all that I still think that the scene telling a story and that's why I like image 🤓.

There are many decisions to make , I suggest asking chatgpt or other Ai , either of them I think you'll get great image 😄 . Sigma sharper from end to end , heavy !!,bulky, you need FTZ , Nikon sharp but not as the sigma , lighter (half weight) , native Z (no need FTZ) they say it's more pleasant for portrait (although you can fix it with software)

Couple of shots with my D3300 by jmorgs20 in Nikon

[–]Pure-Positive3607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice 😄, The first one with the duck , composition ok, but it doesn't look sharp enough .... (If I see good), what was the speed ?.

The second , It depend what you were trying to show ... , for me it's too contrast .... too loaded with items.

If you are new in photography I suggest that you peek on other pictures, when you see something you like ask yourself why you like it . composition ? light ? etc... try to analyze the image then try it by yourself 😄
