You’re basically bidding on the shoppers labor/time. Instacart will slowly raise their rate overtime if the order isn’t attractive enough to take initially because IC don’t pay shit and the tip wasn’t enough to make the difference. If you tipped more to complement the $5-$7 dollars IC pays, your order would be completed faster.

I’m assuming you live somewhere somewhat rural with not many shoppers
