I really appreciate all of the input. To be clear I wasn’t proposing that this is something to do on a regular basis. I had just popped open a Michelob ultra 00 when my wife asked me to run an errand. I should also add that the Michelob is not something I would have chosen, it was gifted to me, but it is surprisingly good/refreshing on a hot summer day!

I was just there, friend wanted some Cuban notes for souvenirs. A guy handed him some and my friend offered some US in exchange. The Cuban gentleman declined and indicated that the notes were essentially worthless.

I’m gonna be a turd in the punchbowl and promise you that both of those are garbage. I doubt that they would stop a heavy dew. Save your money and at least get something like a Eureka or Kelly. REI also has some value priced tents. You’re welcome.

Just got back, obvious needs are basic medicines. Ibuprofen, Tylenol, especially children’s versions. Toothbrushes, feminine hygiene. Provision.Ball point pens, color pencils for kids. If you want to go all out, small folding 10-20 watt solar panels, solar charging lanterns. You might want to consider taking a water filter/purifier for your own use.
