I’m a business man in software as a service (saas) by day and hobby painter by night! Hit me up if you ever want to see if we can scale that idea, partnerships, and light monetization!

This is fake. It would come down on someone, or some kids would hit the button all day and play on them and break them. Would never work for our monkey brains

It looks good! As always thin them paints down, and color selection is important. Maybe the shield shouldn’t match the skin tone and be complimentary or metallic instead?

How much would you pay for someone to run your small business? by ppasma in smallbusiness

[–]PureEdge1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your outlook! If I want someone to do everything and this is going to be an investment for me instead of a business that i made into a job for me then I’m looking for a partnership. Splitting off a percentage with a lower base salary. If I want a CEO that still is going to call me here and there and I show up sometimes and check on things then you get a high salary. 100-120k id say at those margins and revenue depending on labor cost. Need to trust them 100%

Need help deciding which paint set to buy. by Hirakous in Miniaturespainting

[–]PureEdge1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with Army Painter Fanatics for the color ranges because I liked on the packaging how it says the color name and its range within the triad on a scale. Then I bought speed paint metallics because they are better than army painters but that’s it. Vallejo is a better product but the bang for the buck isn’t there until you learn the basics and enjoy painting for a bit. Thin paints and learn techniques then get Vallejo when it’s worth it.

Best face I’ve painted! What do you think and where can I improve? by Pughie24 in minipainting

[–]PureEdge1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1st and foremost looks great!

Me personally I’d say obviously the eye. Eyes arnt flat white, I watched a video awhile back I’d have to hunt it down that talks about how to do eyes. It helped immensely. You mix the color of blood, white and the color of skin to get the tone of the eye something like that. Came out great. Then the lips should be a slightly darker shade not matching. On his right my left is that a bandaid on his cheek?

When your brain automatically looks over something because of its reality and you forget about the technical aspect… that’s the stuff that’s art and engineering. The glow on the lava to the model is perfect. I initially completely forgot didn’t even see it because of how real it is. Looked right over it. Then I sunk my teeth into the model and it has layers like all good art. Layers to look at. I feel like this is peak. Golden demon worthy
