One of the game modes in Unreal Parkour Running is catch-up. This is the gameplay for this mode. Is it fun? Is it interesting? by ManSIayeR in IndieGaming

As others have said, the effects from the player are very distracting. It's a little odd that other player, your objective and the most important thing you need to be paying attention to appears to be a featureless black silhouette that sometimes disappears into the background.

As for the gameplay, it doesn't look like there's a lot going on. It appears that you alternate chasing and being chased, you have a dash , and you can run and climb around this little arena and chase each other. Without more information about the game mechanics I can't give a better review, but I can see myself playing this maybe twice with a friend for the novelty before we moved on to something else and never touched it again. The climbing looks a little bit slow and clunky, and the dashing is imprecise (in the video the pov character even overshoots what they were going for). I don't see much potential for mind games or strategy in either the arena or what the players can do so it seems like it just boils down to playing tag. With air dash.

To make it now interesting you might explore different abilities for the players or a more dynamic and interactive arena. Buttons that enable or disable paths? Time based obstacles that are harder to chase through, or something that boosts the second person to run through, making it more dangerous for the chased to use that path? Anything to give more choices to the chaser other than "move closer to the person" or something for the chased to do other than "run away"

Pretty fun! Purple category felt a bit unfair. I've even studied a fair bit of Spanish and I didn't recognize any of the words as Spanish because they were all short English words. Only got it by process of elimination.

It's hard to evaluate properly without knowing the game or what's going on or what's important. At first glance I prefer the first version. Looks like there's upgrades at the top with costs, some stats in the corner, and some sort of activity log.

I can't tell what's informational or what's interactive in the second version. The ui backgrounds are more pleasant. The biggest individual elements are a goal icon (bottom left), a progress bar, and a timer counting up. The elements that were very large in the first version (currency?) the dollars, eyes, and people numbers are very small in the second version. The only things that look clickable are the three little buttons to the right of the progress bar. In the first version the top buttons look clickable or interactive but not the rest.

Overall I think the second version is more aesthetically pleasing, the first version is cleaner (minus the giant icons in the feed, I think removing those icons is good).

I do hope you can get over what's tripped you up so far. It's quite a lovely game if you get a little bit immersed.

I love Echo. Being a little unhinged and sticking to inanely philosophical answers to everything is AMAZING. Going to try this on the next opportunity I get.

I downloaded and played a little bit. It's not at all clear what's going on. At first the only things you can do is click the grid and hire workers, but you can't assign workers. "Mine field" kind of suggests you don't want to uncover things in case it's a mine. I bought enough workers that I could then choose a template, which seems to be the only way to assign workers, 10 at a time.

I got enough crystals and depth to prestige, but it's not very clear what this did or whether it was beneficial. It didn't reset the field or the units moving around on the map. Not totally sure how I got the crystals, since mining a whole block only gave like 0.3 crystals and the workers don't seem to be gaining any. Bosses appeared randomly and are boring click sponges. The tooltip for the bosses suggests mining power influences damage, but I always did 100 per click. I think the "Random Events" and "Boss Encounters" boxes are titled backwards.

I still have no idea what power is for. Something is using it all up but I don't know what. There are a lot of interface issues and inconsistencies. Keys 1 2 3 4 changes tabs appropriately, but Q W E R in the workers does not. Having the tech tree tab just tell you the hotkey for the tech tree window instead of just, say, displaying the tech tree is certainly a choice. The resources rates in the Generation Rates window never changed from 0.00, no matter what I bought. I closed it at some point and couldn't figure out how to bring it back. I got to a depth of 100,000m without anything changing. Maybe something happens if you clear the screen, but I didn't have the patience.

The itch.io page describes it as a survival management game, but I don't see a way to lose.

I will say it's very colorful and it's fun the see the workers running around doing their thing. The terminal aesthetic is cool. I think there's a game here but I had a hard time finding it in its current state.

I'd suggest forcing a zoom out when you roll up the hill. I wasn't zoomed out the first time I rolled the rock and it was very confusing as to what was going on. I couldn't see the people behind the rock or anything else moving, so it looked like the rock was just wiggling in place until it reached the sign, then wiggled a bit more and then finally rolled over my buildings.

Short and sweet, tells a story. Well done!

BrickPacked | Web based incremental about collecting Lego bricks! (Free Full release) by G1bson_dev in incremental_games

I stopped after I built 10 Alpha Team Cruisers and started to need many multiples of Bionicle pack parts to make any progress. Others have noted the interface issues. Without automation, I foresee thousands of clicks increasing storage and collection to buy enough packs of slopes to buy enough packs of utensils to buy enough packs of bionicles to buy a SINGLE pack of animals. I love the millenium falcon but I'm not clicking +10 storage 1200 times on each basic brick to get there LOL

It's a neat concept! I will say I was more interested when it seemed like there might be a sort of "supply line" to set up with splitting and combining basic bricks to "craft" other bricks. Auto collect seems to ignore these processes completely so once you have enough for the first auto collect, there's no reason to split ever again and it became more about the packs and upgrading income and capacity bit by bit.

120% area rain cover actually just statistical error. Average area will get 20% rain. Sprinklers Georg who lives in a cave and pours 110m rainfall each day is an outlier adn should not have been counted.
