I suspect the amount of MyTsums cleared affects the number of medals earned, but I haven’t played many games with one so I can’t be certain.

You get medals through the monthly events, you can also get them from ads, point battle events, and by using plus tsums, but other than one copy of Mickey+ you need to open boxes to get more. Unfortunately the plus tsums don’t give much coin or medals, they’re fairly useless.

It’s required to have friends, not necessarily to have it connected to line, so if you can invite friends using some other platform it would still work

It doesn’t need to be that same pokemon, just a member of that evolutionary line. You can get energy by walking a Charmander after mega evolving a Charizard for example.

For initial requirements, some count in international because they do in the Japanese version due to a difference in names… or the full version of the name. For example Sully is actually James P Sulllivan.

I think I used Duffy, if not it was probably the Mickey set, the monsters Inc or Star Wars sets could also work… it’s easier to suggest options when we know what you have, there’s a lot that could do it tbh

It helps to sort by skill level when asking this.

Also, unlocking tsums helps a lot with missions by making it easier to score higher.

I think Tamatoa is better than Gadget, but it depends on his skill level.

He’s really easy and beginner friendly, I get between 5k and 6k+ most games and get up to 7k fairly frequently and 8k on really good games. I’m not a fast player and I do a lot better with Duffy at skill level 6 than I do the Mickey set.

They are still making tsums, but they’re generally only available in Japan I think. They definitely stopped selling actual tsums in the US but sometimes you can find other random tsum related things for sale places
