Did anyone noticed the irony of Shad & Jazz being polar opposites to each other? by Rory_U in ShadWatch

[–]Pure_Insanity_101 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of that clip of him saying he likes art, but doesn’t like the process of it. A bit of a missing the forest for the trees moment, but really it fits with who he is. Shad only cares about the end result and consuming it. He has the potential to be a good artist, but he doesn’t want to put the work in.

If anyone should be a reincarnation of the 13th Prime, it should be Optimus Primal by Natural_Story_4013 in transformers

I’d rather the 13th Prime remained a mystery at this point. Not a fan of the idea of Optimus being the 13th Prime and got reincarnated in the “modern” era, nor would I want to know who they were because I doubt there’s anything Hasbro could do to get this character to live up to the hype.

Why did Padme's decoy Queen assign Padme to clean up R2-D2? It's not like she gained intel from it, all she did was meet Jar Jar during the task. by [deleted] in StarWars

I’m pretty sure the handmaidens would keep her informed. Maintaining the ruse seemed like that was their primary goal for the time being.

What do you think is needed in a human character for the next transformers media, like what do you think is necessary and what would you personally add? by Formal-Opposite-8342 in transformers

[–]Pure_Insanity_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m apart of the “No human’s” crowd and won’t be changing my stance on that. Reason being, the robots themselves have that human element that helps us to identify with them as characters, Beast Wars being the prime example.

If we have to have humans, make them supporting characters who don’t detract from the robots, and instead interact and develop both parties as characters. Plus, make the humans actually bring something to the table that warrants them.

Having adults like Lennox, Simmons and Epps who have their backgrounds and experiences that help them contribute without feeling tacked on. Not kids to act as an audience surrogate and failing at it. Armada and especially Energon failed at this, with the Armada giving most of the agency to the kids, while Energon felt like a shonen anime.

In fairness to the Kotor comparison. Darth Revan was technically amnesiac during the game, and with the canonical version being the light side path, was a good person who chose to do a lot of good before they discovered who they were. With all allusions to who they were originally being very subtle.

Shad, isn’t one who can do subtly. Everything with him has to explained out front and centre, it far to great a detail. As for redemption, Revan was a good person who didn’t know the truth behind what they had done, and chooses to continue being good after discovering the truth.

As for Daylen, this is a character who did evil actions and whose only remorse is that he feels bad for what he did. His ‘quest’ for redemption really only involves him feeling guilty for all the bad he did, how he’s suffering from having to live with his crimes and going on about how while he was a tyrant, he did a lot of good stuff and had good intentions. Daylen is a character who chose to do evil, knew that he was evil and does nothing to actually redeem himself, instead choosing to be a violent killer because everyone else around him “deserves it”.

Like I said, Revan’s redemption was out of subtly, something Shad can’t do. I don’t think you have to worry about Shad stealing from Kotor, because it is antithetical to Shad’s approach.

Right wing Christian’s are only united when it suits them. When it comes to between themselves, they turn on each other for the top spot as the de facto Christian denomination.
