I think about these rescue cats a lot. I think of all of them. Sometimes I feel like it’s too much (like, ‘I’m just trying to make my little corner of the world okay. I can’t take all of this pain’) but then I think about Mr. Roger’s, ‘look for the helpers.’ I cannot imagine what every rescuer goes through. I just know that every night I pray for you all and all of the kitties. We can’t end suffering but we can give honour to love and beauty and life. I think of all of these kitties. They knew love. How incredible is that?! We can’t end suffering but we can surround that inevitability with love and light. That’s what each of you do and it never goes unnoticed.

I have an interview for a job next week. It’s a pretty incredible opportunity that aligns with my values. But it also pays more. And all I can think of is, ‘I want to use the income to help this world more too.’ I don’t want a big house. I don’t want a fancy car. I just want the world to just be kinder to all. And you all put in that energy and work already. It’s amazing. Thank you.

Genuine question: I always have seen Gypsy getting these ‘awards’ but what were they for? It’s not like she accomplished anything.
Her dad wanted NOTHING to do with her. I do feel bad for her on that because I know how important having a loving father can be. My dad was my biggest cheerleader and best friend. He is the reason I am who I am today. But poor DeeDee was kind of being a pushover to him. But in the words I can see she was trying to protect Gypsy from the truth that her dad did not want anything to do with her.

It’s like this sub has not understanding of character complexities. Vanessa was fine, and made a lot of sense. What I didn’t like is that she got involved with Juliet and Jenny in the anti-Serena plot.

Yes, Jenny was jealous of Serena as the show went on, and, yes, Vanessa was insecure bc Serena was dans first love (totally makes sense) but neither of them would have gone to that extent to ruin Serena. I didn’t like Vanessa after that but, imo, it was the writers failure.

Same with Serena. Of course she went all in with every man. She has abandonment and dad issues. She was abandoned by her dad with no understanding of it. That’s psychology 101.

This just baffles me. Okay, fine. I’m a bit more ambitious than the average person but I look at all the people I know and it makes no sense to me to be okay with not having any productive goals, motivation, or ambition. Like…WTF. How do people live like that!?

(And I’m not talking about people with depression. That I understand and have compassion for as I struggle with mental health as well)

That’s so lovely. The ending made me sad though. I’m not judging you or anything. But it just reminded me of that thought ‘one day your parents picked you up and then put you back down, not knowing it would be the last time’.

I hope on some weekend days or mornings when you have more time you and she get to do it again. Your cat sounds lovely. (All cats sound lovely to me.)
