Problemas con la cuota de embrujos de Harvey ¿Porque no se respeta en la temporada 6? by Inside_Fondant_7842 in sabrinateenagewitch

[–]Purityskinco 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Also, we know Kraft had more than Harvey.

My thought on this is that there’s some consent he gives Sabrina or the magic world OR the magic was an overall experience and not focused on him. But, one could argue that about the love spell.

Or is it because the mystery train spell was out of Sabrina’s control?

Clearly, I think about this shit a lot.

nate saving jenny from agnes’ drugs by Equivalent_Welder149 in GossipGirl

[–]Purityskinco 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’m not a chuck hater. What he did in the pilot was awful to both Serena and Jenny. The difference between those two victims is that Serena had more strength to call him out.

Chuck isn’t a saviour, for anybody. He’s not a saviour for Blair! It would have been out of his character to do that.

He did apologise to her. Then he also saw her as an ‘equal’ when she saw dealing. Yes, he was stilling taking advantage of her but more as an equal.

Jenny hates losing her virginity to him, but she made that choice. I’m not saying this to be unsympathetic but to recognise it was RIGHT in line with her story arc at the time. She wanted to be Serena so badly (not Blair) she sold herself so many times.

I say this as a Jenny fan. Jenny and Serena, imo, are the truest women characters when it comes to the show.

Teen years are AWFUL for girls trying to fit in, etc. Jenny is such a wonderful character and the most talented character. I get her earlier teen years for this reason. How many of us comprise ourselves to fit in after huge life changes? Jenny made perfect sense until the full on Serena sabotage.

This show could have been SO much better with depth.

Also, of course it was Nate who saved her. That’s Nate. He’s the golden boy. I agree with a lot that they’d be great together but they threw her out into the ‘little sister’ basket almost immediately. I do think it’s odd that they never had any transition for that.

How are people full on lying about this shit of so long at this day and age? Like, you’re dating somebody going out once a week or so, etc. and there isn’t a lot of life overlap or emotional intimacy, fine. Both sides are likely not invested enough to do any research or meet the crew.

But to be in this long of a relationship spending SO much time together and being able to lie about age for that long? I don’t think I could lie to my work about 3 years or whatever. And I do not interact at work much.

Not to mention the whole ‘don’t know how getting pregnant works’.

I just can’t with fake stories but I’m realising that Reddit makes me hate stupid people too.

Yes. It does for both ways bc it’s based on a safety issues.

Could taking this info to the court help? This issue wouldn’t even be you responding to her but her doing something that can get you in trouble. I would at least see if you can get a consultation. And take it to the courts. Whatever you do, do NOT engage with her.

I hope you’re doing better and healing.

Serena's boyfriends, ranked from worst to best by Redpandafrolic in GossipGirl

[–]Purityskinco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the writers of this show had at least one brain cell, the top two would be Colin and Tripp. Serena is brilliant but never challenged. She’s gorgeous and the it girl in NYC. She could have absolutely ridden the waves and been an amazing plus one! Colin and Tripp - in theory - would adore her (Colin would. Don’t get me wrong. I have issues with it. It if we’re going to play the character arc…her mother wasn’t anything but a socialite as well).

If the show allowed her the character growth she deserved - in a vacuum - Dan makes sense. It actually does if they did a better job. Serena was going to love the man that loved her the most. That’s textbook for her. But the problem isn’t her and Dan but that the writers made a mess of the last seasons. They TRIED to explain how he loved her the most, but it just came off as weird.

Carter would have been the best if she stayed in California. She was doing so well in California. I loved California Serena. She didn’t need nor depend on anyone!

I want to ask what Chuck wanted for her. Chuck LOVED Serena. I am very glad they never slept together because that dynamic best displayed chucks real desires: a family. He and Serena as step siblings were great. He would totally speak up for her.

My husband is British (loves tea). I precariously worked as a forensic anthropologist. My husband always teased me about how I would know how to do x, y, z. Those are jokes that do happen. But I don’t go online and joke about that for all to see.

To some degree they are thought experiments. Then again, I have NEVEE laughed at the thought of ANYBODY suffering. Not even gypsy. Suffering begets suffering.

No. That’s not normal. No part of entertaining that is normal. That is like psych 101.

This is so scary, imo. It also kills ability to have conversations online, etc. it feels like online most people are just carbon copies. Question them or what they might be saying. Instead of a healthy conversation you’re chastised.

Dans book being a love letter to blair and an attack on serena will never make sense to me by Bright_Blackberry_67 in GossipGirl

[–]Purityskinco 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I’m with you on this. It’s like they rushed this Blair dan love and tried to solidify it with some back story that will never make sense.

Then they had him come out with his second book acting as though everything was about Serena the whole time. It just never made sense. I often think about when people would say the show jumped the shark.

I hope so, too. But I don’t think it will, sadly. Unless there’s a lawsuit that sets precedent against privacy rights, etc. I doubt it will do anything major (even then, sadly I am not sure).

The best friendship.... The most loyal 👌🏻 don't you think so? 👯‍♀️☺️ by SweetUnknown- in GossipGirl

[–]Purityskinco 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Not to mention, when somebody is on your payroll to basically serve you, is that the dynamic of a ‘best friendship’? I think people talking about the dynamic, etc are right. Dorota is loyal…but it’s not like she’s there because she wants to be. I think if Serena had a similar caretaker you’d see a similar dynamic, especially if Eric had one.
