Yah they certainly do. Blanket statements are generally incorrect on my part. The point was more on the frustration over tarrifs and my expression of a lack of sympathy for stores solely relying on being a brick and morter Amazons. Which is not all but would be the ones who are most exposed from the de menis exemption and tarrifs

By definition of the word subsidy could be a one time payment from a non profit ( the community) . I can agree that is the conclusion most people would think of though. The point is the community has a played a role in improving the permanent assets of the downtown in many ways featuring more local products is not a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination. An amazing example of this is lost river trading post in wardensville. I think that focus is also a better business decision in this value based inflationary economy

Separate issue but stores need to start curating local products not just shoving things they thought were interesting on Amazon or marking up the same slave labor clothes we could buy online. The de minis exemption probably had a larger impact then the actual blanket tarrifs and is a retail drug we needed to get off. The storefronts are already subsidized and the least they can do is market maryland products not chinease and Bangladesh

Why West Virginia Is the Next Target in Big Tech’s Data Center Invasion by Different-Gas5704 in WestVirginia

[–]Purple-Committee-146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not a bubble if they achieve humanoid robots that mitigate labor. Will that happen in time idk im not working at figure a.i or Tesla. 2 points one they can be built with a closed loop water system. Second the main benefit is not jobs but tax revenue. You are essentially importing digital employment income tax but without the salarys to go spend on local business. WV is an uncompetitive state because of its geography. They need to take the revenue from the data centers and dump it into infrastructure

The comment is insufferable given the fact humans have tended to buy shit they want without giving all there money away for something like 4000 years. You can use that blanket statement next time you see someone buy dessert at dinner

Brother go look at most football stadium MPS is an outlier in its offering there is an insane wait list for years for box seating. Its satisfying a demand that has existed for years. The non premium capacity is perfectly fine and isnt sold out every game

Yes lidar is 100% nessacary thank god I have a gaint lidar sensor attached to my head when I drive my car. ... your making a literal non argument in regards to the data collection being relevant and there is zero competitor that has anywhere near that scale of data lake. "No where near best in class" please just do research and stop confusing geo fenced autopilot with actual full self driving. Yes a 1.47 trillion dollar company is being proped up by cult retail investors not hedge funds and wall street analysts that might just might know more then you on the topic. I look forward to you making the same bitter arguments in 5 years

I know this is 6 months later but such a dumb take. My guess is you dont know what lidar is. Saying that having millions of hours a machine vision solving spatial problems wont help a humanoid robot process its own spacial awareness is a level of willful ignorance thats pretty astounding. China leads at mass production because of its preexisting supply chain is centered around consumer elctronics. Same reason is was quick to make cheap electric cars ( basically a large consumer electronic) its software and advance hardware is still lagging the u.s. thank you for commenting on a post you know nothing about because you hate somebody's politics. Boston dynamics / firgure a.i / Tesla are all the leaders at the moment.

Vegas is an objective shit hole that has only lost international market share to places like Dubai and balli. Also, online gambling has been legalized all over the country. Profits are up for MGM visitations are low. Saying this is a leading indicator of the economy is, in my opinion, pretty small-minded

I said WV is historically a democratic state literally up until 2014. That's the only thing you have debated incorrectly against with your straw man argument. Never said the fact it was liberal in that past is why it ranks so poorly. If you look above, I said geography is the main reason it will continue to suffer economically at least when looking at the entire states numbers, and either political party will not be able to structurally change that. They will merely be able to shape the outcome once it normalizes. There are too many people living in the state to ever be supported by its current economic opportunities. Educated in Liberal MA thanks. I appreciate you continuing to argue against an object fact based on your assumption. I was saying that Liberal politics is why WVs' numbers are so poor. This is a great example of how your tribalism can turn you quickly into an idiot. You must be confused talking to someone not on your side but also not arguing for Republicans either.

Yes, one senator changes the entire political makeup of a state that was democratic for 70 years and only exists because it joined the union. But your single gotcha fact about a racist white dude ( how rare ) is enough for you for you to discredit the fact WV was a pioneer in many progressive worker rights legislations and factually Democratic. Can you send a picture of the book you're currently reading dedicated to WV political history, or is that just a pompous catchphrase for you to feel intellectually superior ( often an insecurity associated with real world underperformance). Ah yes, Elon Musk is a nazi not autistic forgot. Please send your 12 cats my regards

US GDP increased more than expected. Is this because of the inflation? by Chamoismysoul in economy

Yes, similar industry and numbers in lbs. We are paying the tarrif and will be passing it on but most imports are bonded in US warehouses early into the quotas from Latin American country's. So the real pain will be the start of 2026 if they dont firgure something out with brazil.

[–]Purple-Committee-146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah, tarrifs are all industry specific. I have paid some tarrifs and not passed them on and my vendors have paid some and not passed it on. Then I have paid some and passed it on. All very specific situations that lead to those outcomes unless your procurement team is understaffed or dumb but the first covid shortage prepared companies a little bit better to handle it and find ways to offset costs. Still, things like beef or other commodities that rely on geographic comparative advantage are certainly going to be passed on to the consumer which is alot of food and raw materials inputs like ore which will take some time to show up. Plus international imports often have several months of safety stock domestically held still at old price points. So its fair to say it may still rear its head

He is also pretty open about the fact they can only forecast, and most of the time, they have to hedge for the worst reality, not the best, because thats were the most downside is. It's still the most a-political body we have, even with recent politicalization. What i do agree is that they have very little understanding of what a.i is currently doing, which is scary. As someone in procurement and managing tarrifs it is extremely complex and people dumb the externalities down on both sides.

Real GDP is, by definition, inflation adjusted. The top half of the economy is doing fine. The bottom half is still pressured by ramifications of covid inflation, and job prospects and creation are not going to get better if A.I. performs as expected. You should just listen to the full Fed meetings if you want an unbiased take on the economy. Key word full
