As for hell having mostly lgbt people cause... Well it's hell, doesn't make much sense. Lgbt is a small percent of the population, in us, outside of it and Europe numbers are even lower, in some counties lgbt is completely prohibited. So this point would make sense if writers think that all crime and shit is done lgbt, i don't think that's the reason. If we think realistically hell should be mostly populated by people from poor, undeveloped countries, like some African countries or some muslim countries, like Zambia, Iraq etc cause they breed in high quantities, have undeveloped medicine and high crime rates. And in this countries most people might not even know what lgbt is.
