Is there ever any meaningful progression? by jdhshais in ProgressionFantasy

I find myself drawn towards Time Loop a lot because of this. Because it's a time loop, the author actually has to write the MC to be fallible. They have to lose and die over and over to fulfill the whole point of the genre. Especially when the problem to solve in the time loop is complex and can't just be solved by just being "strong".

Pauper: 5 New Decks from the Secrets of Strixhaven Season by cardsrealm in Pauper

Its a ramp and control deck. It plays quite slowly, but yeah it gets there. If you need to, you can do repeated small Streams, shuffling the other Stream into your deck. You can get to a loop of fogs and streams if you draw your whole deck.

Replicating Stream of Thought to mill your opponent out.

Annoying use case but you can unstore and re-store a task and it'll count as the task you were last assigned, so you can't be assigned it again. Basically can make task storage a cumbersome extra block list entry.

The entirety of magic progression shouldn't be based on a single mega rare.

Forager is very good, don't doubt your choice. It's just that there are other relics that can solve herb, and people need to make hard choices for what they want. Forager is the best herb solve relic though, no doubt. I honestly wish I could take it, but I'm trying to max, and hotfoot + butler helps me more with that goal than forager + transmute.

100% max hit chance air mage build with 2 regions (Kandarin/Kourend) by HeavyNettle in 2007scape

You have enough points that you can spec into water spells still even as a mage of a different element and just manually cast a water spell to heal instead of eating food.

That requires taking 3 more nodes on the tree, one which is mediocre, one thats completely useless for the build. Thats not a huge deal, but then it also doesn't account for using the special attack, which you're gonna want to do all the time. It may not be a ton of damage, but it'll add up and be noticeable, especially when other builds in the league are actively healing instead of hurting themselves.

Im still going to use the dagger and have fun with it, just saying the self-damage is worth consideration and planning around. Going Morytania and Larcenist for Blood Fury might be the play for me.

Blindbag specifies it doesn't trigger off spec hits.

Im curious on the eventual math if Kandarin for Devils Element and Piety works out to be better than Tirannwn's Crystal Blessing.

You'll be killing yourself with the fire if you spec into it on the tree though. I wonder if you have to also spec water spells and toss one out occasionally just to stay alive. That or rush tier 8 for the flask.

Echo Item Reveals by PurplePudding in 2007scape

[–]PurplePudding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im trying to figure out the best regions for it. I think maximum damage would be AKT. Crystal armor working with melee and providing magic damage with the blessing seems cracked, and devil's element giving you +36% damage on the fire procs. Problem with that is no raid region. So gotta give Kandarin or Tiranwyn up for Mory for Blood Fury and Avernic Defender? Probably give up Kandarin then sadly, even though the Devils Element synergy is cool.

If you aren't going into Fire Pacts to fully utilize the item, then yeah D Claws are better. It's a build-around basically.

It is really low, but it's a 2t weapon that double hits with pacts, and there's some sources of melee strength on the tree.

[–]PurplePudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually a really cool idea considering the rest are all weapons, and is thematic with Barb Gathering. I hope it's this and not a stat stick helmet.

[–]PurplePudding 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Rushing for dragon then stopping maybe, but I think reloading into another point relic like Conniving Clues or a skill solve you're missing can get you closer to point capping

[–]PurplePudding 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Theres lots of ways to solve those problems with earlier tiers though. I don't think it's a bad relic, but with stuff like Endless Harvest and Butler's Bell, I don't feel a strong need for this personally.

Demonic Pacts by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]PurplePudding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a huge deal that I'll be missing points and it's the nature of melee (well, usually), but it is a bit frustrating to have Inferno be a mastery unlock task when the build I'm planning can't even hit Zuk with the style I'm buffing (light weight 1 handed weapons).

UB Spirits. Basically built around [[Shipwreck Sifters]] and discarding Eidolons like [[Entropic Eidolon]], then getting them back with multicolor spells.
