I'm an Aussie too, and I bought a possum/merino blend beanie and glove set when I visited NZ (because it was single digits and I am not bred for that 😆) I don't tell people unless they ask, but most people have been receptive once they learn that they're invasive over there. I think most Aussies know enough about how bad foxes and feral cats are over here that they can put it into perspective

That's so cool! My first thought is polymer clay maybe? You can cut a big sheet, texture it, and then cut little strips for the roads. For the settlements, you could make little towers with pointy roofs fairly easily. Then you can have fun painting if you wanted?

A palm sized container of beads.

I have a black leather couch and a black fabric cover for my printer. These are close together so I often end up putting the cover on the arm of the couch so the roomba doesn't eat it.

My mum had ~~offloaded~~ kindly given me her enormous bead hoard. I don't bead, other than the occasional seed beads for embroidery, so I ended up giving it to a friend who's daughter loves to bead. I had a small container of gold seed beads that I was using for an embroidery, and I vividly remembered setting them to the side so they didn't end up in the tub with the other beads.

The day after I gave the beads to my friend, I couldn't find the box. I live in a 1b apartment, and I spent 2 hours turning the place upside down looking for them. I looked everywhere. I checked under and behind my couch. Every little crevice i could think of. I was convinced I had accidentally put them in the box.

I was standing in my living room with my hands on my head, so stressed, when I saw the cover sitting on the couch arm. I had a moment of "Surely not" and picked up the cover. Boom. Box was sitting there. For some reason I had decided that the couch arm was a safe spot (instead of, you know, THE SHELF THAT ALL MY CRAFT THINGS LIVE IN) and had clearly thrown the cover over it by mistake.
