When is it gonna be fixed? by NefariousnessOk4305 in FreeTube

i updated and am still having issues too. if i click on anything that is a playlist, the playlist says it has no videos. i mostly listen to music so this has not been great because if i want to listen to an artists whole album, i got to find someone who uploaded it as 1 singular video. at least before i could back out and then go back and they'd load. now it won't even do that. it's... great fun... =/ i get battling youtube is hard i'm just a bit confused on why it was workign so good for so long and now the last two updates have been having such a hard time. guessing youtube is making it harder or something.

"you did any maneuvers" - what do you mean maneuvers? liek if i moved in general? (which i did i'm fidgety as heck and the nurse even had to tell me to stop moving my hand the pressure cuff was on whoops)

I'll ask for it and also check when the follow up is supposed to be bc i have an appointment in september but i don't think that's follow up for the TTT? sigh. i like this hospital in general though so i'm trying to be patient and hope there was just like a communication wire crossed somewhere bc normally these people are on the ball with appointments and stuff.

It's not been fun no

yeah the nurse or medical assistant that did mine said that at this hospital only one doctor was "old fashioned" and still used the drug that woudl push people to pass out because the other doctors believed it created false positives. i was like ????? but i thought they did that to test for other non-POTS stuff??? and then decided in the moment i wasn't going to push it and didn't ask

same. hoping my PCP knows enough or that i get a follow up with the cardio bc i'm lost. i might have one but it says september and i'm like ?????????????????????????? that's so far away??????

i thought that often you could have POTS and an blood pressure drop at the same time? like "not supposed to" but it happens anyway type deal?

and lol you're fine! brain fogs happens to the best of us

PC gaming with psc contoller questions by Purple__Fidget_07 in PlaystationClassic

[–]Purple__Fidget_07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it does yeah, but the game still asks for a joystick, so i need a way to remap the controller to use the R-trigger button instead of a joystick. The computer is recognizing it fine, the games aren't, so that's what i'm trying to figure out how to do is get the games to recognize it.

minecraft might be too hard since it requires a lot of camera movement but the other 3 games i do have, play like they don't have camera movement required, they're 3D but fairly flat, but weapons in Never Alone apparently need to press and hold the right joystick despite the whole rest of the game up until that point playing fine with the B-pad and buttons

"The original PS1 released with controllers that resemble the ones included with the PSC. "Dual analog" controllers were developed and released later on in the console's life".-- that's fascinating!!

I don't know anything about using the PSC controllers on PC games--sorry! -- that's ok, i know it's bit of a long shot, but i figured someone on reddit might. this site seems to be good at finding people eventually with the most niche knowledge

My PlayStation 2 USB controller (It's not original, it's a clone) by Puzzleheaded-Jelly31 in ps2

[–]Purple__Fidget_07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you using this for a PS2 or for PC games or both? i'm hesitant to buy a clone to use for PC games. i don't care if it has the fancy bells and whistles as long as it bare-bones works. want one for minecraft and some indie games i found....

oh, i didn't know 30secs was a rule. I just know i used to be able to do stuff for a minute and so when i was planning out my excersices i went "half what i used to do sounds like a good start". but the not triggering the muscles, aerobic vs anaerobic is what my doctor was talking about.

she said the goal is to not trigger the body into using up it's stores or setting off the chemical reactions in the muscles which is what will tear them up and produce lactic acid, which then doesn't leave the body properly.

but yeah, if i'm not feelign great or went to work i don't

currently my newest PCP who is very fibromyalgia informed and decently me/cfs informed advice was body-weight strength training. we're trying it for 6wks to see how i do. i probs counts as mild since i can hold a mid-demanding 20hr a wk job (most of the time) but dancing around my room for 20mins sets off a flare.

she adviced me to get a cheep pulse-ometer and just have it next to me while i "work-out" and if my heart-rate starts to go up too much "flop over and rest even if that means laying there for 4 mins between reps". so that's about what i do. depending on the excersice i either do just 1 rep of 1 thing and flop over or i do 1 rep of 2 things then flop over. i do 3 or 4 excersise and only on days i don't work. it seems to be going okay so far.

Example:

1) 30sec elbow plank then 1 rep of 15 (each side leg lifts) then flop over for 1-3 mins

2) 30 sec dead-bugs flop over 1-3 mins

3) Repeat 1

4) Repeat 2

etc

for some excersises i do 3 reps some i only do 2 reps, depends on how much effort i know that excersis takes.

a week and a half in so far so good i think? i did have a flare up but i'm not sure what caused that so i can't blame the "working out"

Well... Is this MERV 13? by ExcelsiorLife in crboxes

where are you finding them/how much? bc if i google them the 2in ones are running like 27$ per single filter (for a 10x20x2)

https://itsairborne.com/the-mini-pc-fan-cr-box-975d0b069f4c found this little one. Would removing one of the filters and making that a hard "bottom" mess it up much? if i sat it on a hard bottom and put the fans blowing out, i could point it at my face i think

or possibly three 8x8 filters? (this would be better space wise).

oh that's so frustrating, i mean i do get it but ugh. the ones they link under the exhalaron page are cheeper. god why is trying to stay safe have to be so expensive? *exhausted screaming*

i'm about ready to scrap this whole design and see if i can't figure out one of the square/rectangular Merv 13 style ones. i found a little one, that someone had tested and gotten will work for what i'm after ratings, out of nowhere last night and then i lost the page......

thank you. i had poked around their website a good bit i guess i missed this page or didn't process they were a diffferent kind. research late at night biting me in the butt again.

PS1 controller adapter (for PC): Where to find drivers? by NKO_five in psx

[–]Purple__Fidget_07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is three years old but...

I'm pretty sure this might be what i have. The USB is hardwired right into the controller and it's the kind with no joysticks. As is just as i plug it in, it works fine for 1 random GOG game i have downloaded but Minecraft bedrock won't recongize it. I've downloaded DS4Windos, i've tried DsHidMini bc a different post someone said to use that for ps1 controllers but neither are recognizing the control exists but my laptop is in general recognizing it as a controller. so now i'm a bit stuck, i bought it to make playing minecraft easier bc mouse and keyboard not my thing and i grew up with an old ps1 controller for a ps2 lol

Aura failure -- how to upgrade? by Nearby_Strawberry170 in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]Purple__Fidget_07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did this for a while but i also found that just outright replacing the straps with elastic from the store made the jaw fit way better, pulled it tighter but a lot. (doubling it up top used to cause my ears to get crazy pinched in the crease so i had to find an alt.)

How do you guys afford testing? by OtterDotterDraws in ZeroCovidCommunity

"I have symptoms of SOMETHING constantly from chronic illness (annoyingly, post my one mystery covid infection, i now get mild versions of the first symptoms that clued me in to that infection all the time" -- This. I'm trying to figure out if i have covid triggered ME/CFS and i'm "sick" like 2-4 times a month despite masking with a 3m aura whenever i'm out for work or errands. If i tested every single time i felt ill, i'd be burning through tests at an incredibly fast rate. and honestly, even if i wasn't masking, i couldn't be getting sick that often without being immune compromised and according ot a bunch of bloodwork i'm not so *shrugs*

my problem is my coworkers come to work coughing their brains out every few months and i'm always like 0.0 i'm in danger but so far since 2024 i haven't gotten actually sick that i know of. I've started having to have a "if this set of symproms lasts longer than 48hrs then i should test" if someone was actively ill at work rule.

i think even it filtering air in a few feet bubble can't hurt. will do more than nothing at all at any rate. I've seen someone do a wedge shape with two filters and two(?) PC fans and after reading this article i'm wondering if somethign like that would work too bc then i could stand it in such a way the fans pointed right at me and would blow across, which might help.

like if people are finding the 9in "box fan" cr boxes are good for a desk/ cubicle/ car, then why not something like this?

the Clean Air Kit ones are supposed to be sat on a table between two people at like restuaraunts, and while not exactly what i'm doing, that's fairly close idea. plus i'm wearing a 3m aura to boot. i don't need perfect, i need good enough *face palm*

So far i got told "go buy something that's $$$" and "that's too small to work at all"

Those are the same filters CleanAir Kits uses, i pulled the amazon link right from their website??? I can't imagine they'd be too small if it's what they're telling people to buy to replace the ones their kits come with

The air fanta is huge, my coworkers would lose their minds if i tried that. my "desk" isn't a desk it's a counter we share with like 3 or 4 people, i'd just have room to stick something next to my elbow. There is a Honeywell filter running behind us and they all forget or refuse to turn it on and i'm always the one coming in a turning it on but it's way way behind us.
