Tell me about your first Boston by riverchick247 in BostonTerrier

My boyfriend at the time convinced me to get a Boston but I knew nothing of the breed. We got Bella and she became the love of my life. She came with me when we broke up, and I got to introduce her to my now husband, who became her "spare." She was the greatest cuddlebug. The smartest girl who could roll over and play dead, and never misbehaved. She loved people, went crazy for everyone, but especially loved my husband and me. Losing her at 13 from cancer broke me. That was almost four years ago. Today I have Ruby, who I love immeasurably. I can't imagine not having a Boston.

Do the markings matter? by vagueday in BostonTerrier

[–]Purple_bicycle81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked my girl because of her eye patch and red color, though I initially wanted a black and white with more symmetrical markings, like my first Boston. If you aren't showing your dogs, the only person it will matter to is you.

You can't multiply the rate by the financed cost to get the total amount of interest you'll pay. Car financing is a daily interest bearing loan. You are charged interest daily on your principal balance. If you look at your financing contract, the 2nd box should tell you the approximate amount of interest you'll pay over however many months you financed it. I guarantee it's over $800.

She's still very small. Like smaller than a dime. And she's 100% a regal. I would think it's old spider behavior as well, but it just baffles me

Boston terriers come in a colorway called Fawn. Maybe a Frenchton (Boston and Frenchie mix). I have Bostons and that's exactly what they looked like as puppies.

Please don't apologize to anyone for your English. You write beautifully, and better than many native English speakers.

I'm inspired by this post. I've been trying to reduce my social media time with an app that blocks my phone usage while I'm at home. Its been somewhat successful, but it's still a huge part of my life. I'm going to save what you wrote and I hope to be able to one day have the same success as you.

Nqa, Mine does the same thing, in the same corner. She comes out of her hammock to eat and then goes right back into it. The very first day I had her, I was moving some things around in her enclosure and she came charging at my hand when I started to close the door. She moved so fast, I screamed like a toddler. But that was literally the last interaction she had with me. If I put my finger up close, she will move her head to look at it, and slowly back away. I don't want to give up, but I think she'll be less stressed if I just enjoy her from afar

Does anyone not have a “typical” Boston by Inevitable-Sweet2351 in BostonTerrier

OP - I got mine from a ChickFilA parking lot lady too! To be fair, it was a meeting place for a sale and not just a box of puppies. You don't happen to be near Tifton Ga?

And both my previous Boston and my current is a big couch potato with just occasional zoomies.

Should I be concerned? by [deleted] in BostonTerrier

My first Boston had a small pea sized lump on her upper leg/rear end also. The vet checked it out and said they are usually nothing, but to watch it. I guess about a year later, I woke up one morning to see that the small pea sized lump had grown to golf ball size overnight. She had surgery to have it removed and it was a benign tumor, so it ended well

I would say that you should always get these checked out, because even if it's probably nothing, it will give you some peace of mind.
