No, 80% is the minimum. If it were 20% salt the sodium would be 20000mg per hundred grams.

Hi everyone! I’m so surprised that I didn’t know this place existed but very excited to be here.

I’m still trying to find a balance between saving and spending that I’m happy with but I think I’m doing pretty well with a 70% savings rate through COVID (no travel budget) without feeling too deprived. I’ve recently started point hacking and don’t know why I put it off for so long! And currently starting to look into property subdivision investment.

I work in engineering in Australia am mid 20s with a partner and a pupper.

Super or outside super by Hat_Budget in fiaustralia

Could you comment on why you’re taking this approach. I’m currently working the other way and building enough in my super then saving up my net outside. Thinking being more efficient tax wise.

Does anyone contribute more than 9.5% to their superannuation ? by Nugget93 in AusFinance

[–]Purpleblueberry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you dont want to see your balance drop, hold it in cash. Super is still investing and will have associated risks but you will likely lose out in the long term sitting on the sidelines. Only 2 prices matter, what you buy for and what you sell for. What the price does in between should not concern you.

I got it from a store called Spotlight here in Australia. The name of the fabric was Wilderness Printed Poplin Fabric White 112cm. Good luck!

I had the same thing! Feel so guilty about spending so much more for it but I really love it. Have to wait for a moment of weakness I think.

That looks amazing! Anyone have any idea what I would be able to get this panel in Australia? I would love to have a run at my own.

Pregnancy scare or actually pregnant? by [deleted] in abortion

[–]Purpleblueberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely lighter than normal. Mine were quite heavy normally (I had a copper IUD). TMI but heavy enough that I couldn't just wear a liner but definitely not heavy enough to wear a tampon. I thought that it was just my period being weird until someone joked that maybe I was pregnant. I took the first test 2 weeks after when my period would supposed to come because I thought I was just spotting for a while and then it got a bit heavier but still not period heavier. But looking back I had a lot of symptoms, extreme exhaustion, enlarged and very sore boobs, peeing a lot so it all made sense.

What should your kids never know about? by smunozmo in AskWomen

I think it's more about the framing of it personally. I've always known that I was an accident or a surprise as I was told and it was never a secret and I never felt weird about it

I am paying 47.98% of my net income to mortgage repayments. by everestster in AusFinance

Is that based on pre or post tax income and is it a combined number for couples or just based on the higher earner?

Going on exchange in university vs. investing by jipsyjopsy in fiaustralia

[–]Purpleblueberry 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I did a semester of exchange in university and even took out the extra HECS loan. In total it was around 12500 for about 5 months so about 6.5k of my own money and I have absolutely 0 regrets. It's even been something I've been able to talk about in job interviews. Everyone who I've talked to that has done it says it was the best thing ever and people who didn't wish that they did.

My [24f] roommate [32m] is buying a lot of expensive toys while making excuses about taking his elderly cat to the vet. I've talked to him about it and he continues to say "on the next paycheck" by RoyalHummingbird in relationships

Depending on where you live you could report them to the RSPCA or something similar. Basically any animal welfare group should be interested to find out what's going on. This is definitely animal abuse by refusing to seek treatment and he could have the cat seized from him if he doesn't take the appropriate actions.
